So I mounted my front tires on the 240 today. No big thing, really. Apparently I also ran over something within the first 5 miles I had them on the car. I didn't notice until it was too late that I was running on a flat, the 615's have a fairly stiff sidewall and the car pulled that direction anyway.:(

So I am out a new tire, and I have to wait until the new one comes in to remount it. Plus I broke a wheel stud gettin the wheels off. Good Times, good times.

Anyone else lose a tire that quick?

Where did you get the tire. I know my shop would take it back for a new one if its only 5 miles on it. Its called a road hazard tire.

Vulcan Tire. I didn't get the road hazard, unfortunately. I have never had a tire fail that I couldn't fix myself. Live and learn I guess.

I am just glad I didn't mess the rim up. I would have been PISSED.

Go ask anyways! We don't even offer road hazard. They can usually return it as a faulty tire or a manufacturer defect!

I had a tire blow out on my truck as it rolled out of the shop.

Apparently, someone left something really sharp on the shop floor.

So, less than 1mile.

EVO tires take plugs pretty well:wink:

I have about 3 in the set on the wagon.

Will, I bought these(the Falkens) online, so going up there isn't really an option.

I got the call to go help bail mike out. That tire is trashed, its a shame. Sidewall is just totally mushy now. Sucks.

damn mike that's so disappointing :( at least the rim isn't ruined though

i never used to get those road hazard packages but for the last few sets of tires i've gotten from discount tire i got the hazard package....so far i've already used it on one of the 3 sets of tires (nail in sidewall).....now i always go for that option.....i hope vulcan tire will be willing to work with you given the short distance your drove

did you mount and balance it, or did vulcan tire? if they did it, they may honor road hazard and give you another for free or at least at a pro-rated price. if not, ask to buy the road hazard now, and see if it will cover the bad tire:mrgreen: when i had my monte carlo, i just put tires on, and the same night i put them on, i blew one on 213 when i drifted into the median while lookinf through my cell phone:( that sucked.

buy the road hazard on the new one, and return the old one as it after a few weeks.

I mounted the tire at work. Oh well, it sucks but **** happens.

As it turns out I also ordered the wrong size for the rear. There is no way I am running a 245/50R16 on the rear of a 240. Not a chance, wayyyy too tall.

Not a good experience with tires this week.

NINJA EDIT!!

Daniel, what size are your fronts? I know they are a bigger diameter wheel, but I am curious.

I had a full size spare blow out after 3 miles, thankfully I was only about 3.5 miles from home when I put it on.
