Goof Off will strip the clear coat. What I would recommend doing is getting a blow dryer and hold it toward the emblem and then taking a fishing line and working it behind the badge. At that point you should be able to get some simple green and take care of the rest of the adhesive. I know 3M makes a good adhesive remover as well that won't remove the clear.

Good luck!

I used 3M Adhesive remover to get rid of the stickers. When you done there will be a slight haze, just give it a real good waxing afterwards and it will be fine.

Bug and tar is what i used on my wrx, it didnt ruin the paint but I could always see where the badges went after. It could have been because the car was used though and the sun had goten to it.

wo matt, you gotta give fantayzias a little something something i guess. when i did mine the 2nd time i used whichever of the two above smells like lemons (not the one thats extremely harsh smelling) and i ended up just rubbing the glue off. totally scratch free but the heat from rubbing with my fingertips left me with some nasty nasty blisters that didnt heal for a long time.
