Got in a car accident *pics added*...

But not with my car. I was with my friend and i was driving his Mazdaspeed Protege. Just came off of 202 and was sitting on the offramp going into Gaye street waiting for a break in the traffic. This tow truck was comming, i could have gone in front of it, but i decided to wait for it to pass. After the truck passed me, i moved on and merged into the right lane. While i was merging, the truck went into the left lane. I started to go pass the truck in the right lane...which was a big mistake. Without using any turn signal or anything, the truck cut right in front of me. I did not even have time to hit the brakes. I hit the front of the truck at probly around 30 mph. Next thing I know, the car was on its roof and i was hanging from my seatbelt. The impact of the truck sent the Protege pretty much airborn and rolled it onto its roof. The seatbelt and the steel bar that was in the door of the Protege is what i think saved my life. Now all i have to worry about is insurance. I feel horrible because my friends car is totalled but from what eveyone is saying, this accident could not really be avoided. Ill probably have pictures of the car soon. I donno...just drive safe everybody.

yup while i was passing him...scariest thing that has ever happened to me. He cut the wheel on the truck so hard and fast that it looked like he intentionally meant to hit us.

most of my non-car friends wouldnt care if their car was totalled..as long as insurance came through. However, if it was his baby..then I would feel horrible too.

I am actually going to the police station in a lil bit to tell my side of what happened. I know the truck driver lied to the police. I heard him. Lying at the crash scene.

well i just got back from the police station, and the officer that was there first last night would not even listen to our statement. He said that the truck driver gave his statement (which is total bull**** of a story) and that i gave my statement when i was on the stretcher. I was like WHAT THE ****. This was my first accident and i was very dazed and confused. I did not even tell him that much. My friend, my mom, and tried to give him our statement today, and he treated all 3 of us with total disrespect. I even tried to shake his hand and he looked down on me like a piece of ****. There will probably be a lawsuit now or taking this to court. Wish me luck guys.

Wow, first off thats ****ing horrible man. First and foremost tho (being a criminal justice major) The cop has to treat both stories the same wether u were in a stretcher or not. I know u cant avoid it but they arnt sopposed to make judgement before both stories. Secondly if there was another person in your car or anyone who can back ur story you win automatically 2 vs 1. Finally if the cop is disagreeing with your story get a copy of the police reports as fast as possible. Pull a claim with youre insurence, and if the poilice reports show ANY type of discrepency towards the other guy you are able to sue. Also since the guy lied you can sue him as long as he is found wrong. Peronal opinion i dont know about suein the cops due to its a **** a** cop but as long as hes found at wrong sue him for every stinkin penny. Yes, sadly it was Brians. There was no way i could have avoided this crash. Brian agrees. I donno its a really fu*ked up situation. You can see Brian in the background, and im the guy on the ground with my neck being help by the parametics. The caption under the picture clearly made me sound like im the bad guy in the situation. Like i said before...its a fu*ked up situation and i still feel horrible.

I agree with everyone else...too many cops wear blinders and dont respect ANYONE. i had to go to court 4 times with my last accident because the cop gave me a ticket becuase he had nothing better to do then make me sufffer...i had lost my car, any form of transportation for 3.5 months, and had to deal with him in court 4 times. Just fight it to the very end make the cop sound like the bad guy.

i had a similar incident recently where someone rolled a stop sign and hit my sister's car and took off, damn cop didn't want to hear our story (like you, we were the victims) Said these things happen all the time and the guy was late for work and what do we want out of it? cops are total pieces of **** dude. they give us peeding tickets and there worse than us. last night on my way to johneys i was turnin up a road and 3 cops almost hit me in my firebird no lights on or turn signals so i did a piggy run and followed them they went to some fast food place parked there cars and walked right in. talk about bull****
