does anyone know if a timing belt breaks on a 1989 toyota supra does it hit the vavles or the heads?

I'm not sure but its cool to see someone with another 89 supra. O and mine is in need of repair also. so if someone can help you out it would help me out as well.

A belt failure on an interference engine almost always results in one or more bent valves. Although your supra is a non-interference(pretty sure) so you should be fine. I would still take the head off and makes sure. Dont the valve seals always go bad in those motors too?

The only way to smack pistons and valves in a 7m is to snap a rod, ask me how I know. I have a pretty nasty 87 supra that very well might be at the exotic dyno day in 2 weeks.
