basically, i read the directions, looked up alot of stuff on the net, called subaru, called extreme psi(no one anywhere could really tell me.....and i am still having alot of trouble. hopefully someone who has installed a greddy boost gauge in there car(wrx prefferebly) will know this or if this Q pertains to most boost gauges...please help...
the directions say something about tapping into the fuel pressure regulator(the pic on the directions show the blowoff valve as the FPR and when i look for my FPR, for some reason it looks like there are 2)....my car is an 06 and im a soob noob so i dont want to mess with something without being absolutely positive im doing the right thing.
can anyone tell me how to do this, what i thought to be an easy installation, of a GReddy boost gauge. the fuel pressure stuff really threw me for a loop...i always thought something like the vaccuum lines or something not FPR.

also PLEASE make the help as detailed as possible.

thanks.

You should not need to be anywhere near your FPR for a boost gauge install.
Most boost gauges get tapped into the vacuum signal for the factory BOV with a "T". This is how I did my Omori boost gauge.

I will let the GReddy crowd chime in more though.

my best guess is your instructions are a generic printout for all of the gauges greddy offers, and the fpr gauge would be for the fuel pressure gauge, obviously.
you just need to tap into a vaccuum line, most go either off of the intake manifold or off of the bov vaccuum line... thats the only thing you need to do aside from wiring up power, ground, and illumination.

correct me if i'm wrong, but there is a vacuum line that runs to all fpr's. that's probably what his directions are talking about. I'm not a wrx guy, but ask around where everyone else taps into for most accurate readings...

for my dsm, i tapped into the fpr's vacuum line worked just fine.

Bingo. There is a vacuum line running to the fuel pressure regulator. You can use that or any other strong vacuum source.
