Recomendations for paint shops?

I need to paint some pieces I got, as grill, rear spats and my oem skirts.... I just went to one place and the guy was like "grill will be $150 and other I won't do because they are not smooth material so paint won't stay"... the grill costed less then that! and other pieces just need to be primed before paint goes on :roll:
so, any suggestions? :wiggle:
