i suppose the nice part about the location is its proximity to RT 1 and 95

although really, we could choose fridays, bertuci's, ... anywhere around the mall... but the part of the parkinglot across RR is very distant from the mall and therefor empty

i know a cute waitress at the oxford valley red robin... so thats not a bad thing. other than that, red robin doesnt do much for me. we just need a place where we can hang out outside without getting into trouble, and also go inside when its cold or raining.

not to kill hopes but that lot IS in the mall parking lot which means that we are subject to the usual rent a cop harrasment & the eventual local police stopping by. also, the local police have a sub station INSIDE the mall which means that they do their own patrols around the mall & can talk to the rent a cops directly via 2 way radio. i used to work at the allied hobbies there.

The lot at home depot / longhorn / ruby tuesdays / target has no rent a cops, its big & well lit, and each week we can eat at a different location in that lot.

Derf you're confusing everyone by saying applebees. Its Ruby Tuesdays. I think this place would be ideal. Like he said.

1) Well Lit
2) Huge Lot
3) No rent a cops
4) Extremely close to the old meet so we dont have to shift gears completly goin to another location.
5) Prime location to flip off the rentacops from the old location. :finga:

Plus when the weather becomes good again and all the bitches that didnt come out during the winter show up we can see them and redirect them.

DUDE!!!! GUYS I HAVE JUST HAD A REVILATION!!!!!

I was going to the bathroom (where I think best!), and the best idea hit me. Would any members be opposed to myself writing a letter to the manager of Red Robin Neshaminy? In this letter i would simply ask them to be a sponsor of the TriStateTuners Club.

In this letter I would be asking for the following things:
1) Allow us the use of their parking lot for our weekly club meets
2) A discount on food or drinks for members of TriState Tuners

Some of the points that I would stress would be:
1) Explain our current situation with the police, and our need for a space to park at night. And state that we will be changing locations if they cannot allow use the use of their parking lot
2) We have been coming almost every thursday night for 6 months
3) We bring in a large amount of buisness on a night which they normally would be empty
4) All members will be given a contract saying that their actions will reflect the club within the parking lot, asking them to simply park their cars and not do donuts and such
5) We continue to grow each week, and this would be a good way to bring in new customers from around the area

I feel that this would be a great idea, and I would be willing to write this letter, and propose this to the manager of Red Robin. As long as we have their permission, there is nothing that the police could do to restrict our usage of the parking lot. And Red Robin has a lot to gain by allowing us to use their space.

If anyone is opposed to this, please post.

I don't understand. From what I hear there were around 50 cars there on any given Thurs. night but now when it is cold and only 10-20 cars per night the cops decide to crack down? WTF?

Good luck with that Vypurr. I was thinking the samething, you just thought about it and posted before I did. I think we should show up anyway and if the 5-0 shows up again we can say we were all meeting there to go eat @ RR. What would they say? "No, you aren't?"

I have no objections to the OV RR meet area, and I agree that we should at least try it for one meet. But be warned, I know one of the OV Mall Public Safety rent-a-cops, and I was told that they can be nosey, not to mention exposure from mall traffic. At least pushing our luck with "car testing" could quickly draw attention.

why dont we just say that for this week, the meet will be at the target / home depot parking lot & see how we all feel about it. all of this indecision could turn people away with the confusion. the way i see it: we take absolutley no risks in having the meet at the target / home depot parking lot. keeping the meet at the lot next to red robin will probably cause the cops to show, and having it in the red robin lot can be cramped with a lack of spaces.

I agree. I used to run the FYE in that mall, and know that if we meet in the Oxford Valley lot, we'll get shut down in less than 30 minutes. I think the Target/Home Depot lot is a better chioce.

So there is no confusion......It's across from Neshaminy Mall and right up the road from the old RR meet area. There is a Target, Home Depot, Famous Footwear, Ruby Tuesday, Longhorn Steakhouse, LA Fitness, Quiznos, and a couple other small stores in the shopping center.

this is where we will be meeting for the Week. It is very easy to get to. Intead of making a left at the bottom of the Neshaminy Ramp....make a right. Stay in the right lane and make a right into the shopping complex. You will see the above mentioned stores. If you drive straight back, home depot will be right there
