It was a fantastic time. We plan on going back next year. Now all we need is a new $250 vehicle.

Fugly the wondervan and the team made the front page of www.tailofthedragon.com (http://www.tailofthedragon.com) and a bunch of our cohorts made the front page of www.killboy.com (http://www.killboy.com). We had enough fun that we will be taking a trip back in September, so we can drive it during the week.

I love how all the cars have GRM stickers on them. And I HAVE to do that sometime. That looks like mucho fun. And the cars are actually in my price range, too haha. I have to be able to find a really old Saturn for $250......

And the one guy on your team is the guy that used to auto-x a Yugo. Sorry if that's you, I don't really know names.

That would be the other Jim. He still does auto-x his Yugo.

The van did not come with a working horn, so he took the Yugo horn and wired it in so we would have a working one.

As for the GRM stickers, most of the participants learned of the rally via the GRM board, so most of us are GRM fans, if not subscribers.

Yea that's right. I haven't auto-xed in a long time, I dunno who's who anymore :( And another thing, GRM rules!

I have also not been out for a while the road rallies have kept me too busy to go, so I know what you mean. I am surprised that GRM didn't try to even cover the event. It really was mostly GRM readers (or at least potential readers). TopGear managed to send a crew over to participate and report back. Hopefully we will be able to get copies when the article goes to print.

Keep your ear to the ground, we will be doing it again next year. Hopefully there will be many more teams coming out then.

So this is where all my bandwidth is going ;)

I'm the crazy guy with the Yugo...I miss seeing your car out there, we need more EP cars.

Last time we raced she looked like this

Now she looks a bit different

If you are interested in going along on BABE next year keep in touch, it looks like we have a bit more interest and will probably field 2 vehicles next year.

Eh, unfortunately it looks as though the Saturn is going byebye. Cracked windshield, and some other stuff.

Will do! I wanted to do it, seemed like a good time.

And your car looks great! Those DIY fender flares really look nice.

Man, that flared Yugo looks badass. Like a cheaper, more Eastern European version of Mad Max.

Cracked windshield? Sounds like a perfect excuse for a lexan replacement ;)

At this point we are probably going to run another van (or bigger) and then car #2 will be a quest to make sure we have the hands down winner for the biggest POS award this year. Not sure what it will be, but it will be pure crap for sure.

The Yugo is definitely coming along, its holding its own pretty well these days. My co-driver is pesering me to put the new motor in (est 120hp instead of the 65 we have now) Im running out of excuses, I told him not until we learned to drive it and had our times consistent but this last event all my times were within 5 tenths of each other for the most part so its about time to get on it I guess.

One of our boys from TSN actually was doing BABE.

Can't remember what he was driving though.

Hah!

He was driving a Dub. He actually has pictures up of the party at the "van" which happens to be your ride.

Carl Rezdog. Ring a bell?
