This weekend I was home so I decided to wax my car for the first time since I got it back. My paint is on its last leg and I wanted to preserve it till I finished my S14b conversion and got a respray. So I used this Turtle wax black stuff with a thing that looks like black lipstick thats used for scratches. Now this is one coat and a very rushed job as I had to be at a bbq later that day. But i think it helped out alot. Im going to do a few more coats later this week. If you have a black car get this stuff. It works!! It made such a difference my dad asked me for the bottle before I left.

Ignore the suckage of the photos as well as my missing bumper.

I really should have done a before and after to show how bad my paint looked. These photos dont really do the product justice either. But ill get better ones after I do a few more coats. (I used it on the wheels too, I helps keep brake dust off)

I may be late on this product, but I think they also make some for other colors.

check out the "exterior, interior and electrical" section for a step by step way to detail your car no matter what color

but the car looks awesome, my favorite body for those!

sweet car! The paint looks flawless in the pictures, and as everyone else already pointed out that FMIC looks massive with the bumper removed.

If you saw my hood before I did the wax it looked like it was ashy. The more i waxed it (with regular wax) the worse it got. But in that picture it looks almost as good as the rest of the car. Cant wait to see it after a few more layers. Nissan paint jobs between the years of 94-97 are known to fade. Not all cars but alot of them. Mine is no exception so a regular detail wont do it for me. But that section does have some good info.

I really didnt want to change the front end of the car, but I want HID's and dont want to retrofit projectors and my bumper is now broken so I might as well. But I might do a little 'twist' to make it unique, something ive never seen before at least, ever.

I can't explain to you how much I like your car. As far as the paint goes, it looks good. Although it's not sunny out and we can't see if it has swirls, reguardless if it looks better than before than it worked out fine.

Badass car

I always wanted a 240. I ended up with a 85 Nissan 720 with a 89 KADe carbed mtor that I rebuilt :)

I had it in my hand last week...today I'm purchasing it and using it....how did the scratches come out?

OBEEWON

they came out a little better. I didnt use the lipstick stuff extensively yet, but I dont expect it to work magic on the scratches.

Yeah, he went by the screen name nightkids or something. He was a jerk. Why would you run from Cali cops in rush hour traffic? Stupid. A near perfect car got ruined.

Thanks alot. Yeah photoshoot would be nice. Kouki conversion got set back again but whatever.

I used the same stuff on my tied ass 91 galant VR4 in black, plus it was a ca. car so it was faded but clearcoat still good, made for an interesting color, looked alot different then the color in the doorjambs ect.

You inspired me to polish my nissan POS. I used Meguires scratchX, then Meguires NXT Wax. I used it on the headlights too, and it helped clear up some of the haze.
