i dont recomend this, lol....but if you do it, be sure to come by my hospital we always could use the business, lol. on a side note i will be down there on friday, most likely on the bike since i really dont feel like fixing my car EVER!!!

I'm thinking about it..I have been racing my car non stop it's a miricle I still have a clutch..I also put my stock DP back in until I get a replacement from Ca. so it will be slower..I'll know by lunchtime tommorow..

i blew my trans- BUT i knew it was funky on the way there but i said screw it. i still ran back to back 11.0's @ 124 and 123mph. after the second run it was acting up worse and i decided to try and get it home. made it to within 5 miles from my house before it went caput. sooooo close:roll:

this trans was in my other ls1 (that got totalled) and has 1000+ races on it (no lie at all) so it held up VERY good for the only modification being a shift kit. i'd only be so lucky to have another one hold up that well. it had about 90k or so on it.

ah well, i needed some time off anyway. i have another stock perfectly fine trans, just need to get motivated to actually swap it in. i also have to decide if i want the one i have beefed up or not- so the car may/may not be around for a little while.

11.8@115....car was breaking up bad. Havent figured out why yet but a buddy says Im probably heat soaking the FMIC. I have the biggest FMIC that I can get, the upper piping does get hot as ballz though.

was "chumma" the car with skinnies and street tires? i saw that and laughed. wtf is the point- other than to say you did it on street tires with ever other suspension modification and skinnies. just buy a goddam tire for god's sake. cool guy and all, i believe i've met him before but i just don't get it.

turns out either way i won't have the car back for a while- gotta wait a week to have an open lift so i can rip the trans out, then send the converter back to get cut open and cleaned/checked, then once that finally gets back i have to reinstall everything. guestimate is 1 to 1.5 months till it is back racing again. maybe a little faster when it gets back, maybe not:devil:

What type of IC core are you using, it's unlikely you were getting alot of heat soak..Check for boost leaks, could be ignition problems as well..I'm sure you know the drill..

chummmma has pulled a 1.5 on slicks and street tires up front, but he did cut a 1.6 with street tires, freaking amazing with a car with that much power... but he was going for a 1.5 on streets, believe me the CI f bodys have more then enough slicks laying around, he really just ran for fun, its not like your going to get a personal best in that kind of weather...

how amazing? i've gone 1.55 with stock 16's all around, mt dr's on the back and stock suspension besides sfc's and adh phb. 2.73's too! 1.5 or 1.6 on streets IS impressive though- BUT try doing it more than once... again not knocking but just don't get the whole "street tires but every other mod" thing to get recognized.

agreed on the weather, motor runs would've been 1 to 1.5 tenths off from good da' at atco.
