No cats + venting to atmosphere/running rich = fire.

its a N/A Ka motor

running headers, test pipe, and 3" exhuast.. useually only pops small flames but if Im running 93/4 octane and just sit thier and rev it I can useually get soem decent flames

you're running waaay too rich on that thing....going to end up killing it (not like its a big deal b/c KAs are a dime a dozen lol)....you're probably severely washing the cylinders just waiting at a stop light

For a minute I thought you were talking about the horrible 240 that some jackass put crappy flame stickers on the side.

I want to weep every time I see it. The car is begging to be put out of it's misery. :(

My car shoots flames every once and a while. Its tuned to be like that though, i would rather be rich than lean with a turbo motor.

SRs are never really supposed to spit fire.....when an SR is shooting flames its not tuned properly

on the other hand, the RB will always shoot flames....even with a good tune and a/f ratios it will still spit fire every so often....even more so on the track

Nice! I thought all Skylines had the RB series motor, not the blacktop SR20.

ask Matt....he'll tell ya too, if an SR is tuned properly and not running overly rich it shouldn't be shooting flames
