parking ticket

I just got a letter in the mail yesterday saying i have an unpaid parking ticket in orange city, NJ from april 13th, 2006. There's multiple problems with that. This is for my honda, beater car.
1. I've never been to orange city, NJ
2. I haven't been to NJ in 3-4 months
3. I've never taken that car to NJ b/c I don't trust it on long drives
4. I worked 8-6 that day and wet out with my G/F that night so I have proof that I wasn't there.

What would be the easiest route to take on this? I mean i have no prolem paying for something I did wrong, but obviously this is not my fault. I'm trying to resolve this without taking off work b/c that will cost me about $140 for the day, plus the gas and tolls to get there.

i would call up the number on the back of the ticket. Explain to them (very politely) becuase court people get miserable, and tell them your sitaution. Tell them your employer can vouch for you and you have proof that you were not there. See what they say.

i did what u said and they said it was a blue car, while mine is red and they waived it, thanx for the help
