Haha, dont mind the lame title!

On my 04 WRX sedan, my drivers seat won't stay still. The four bolts holding it to the floor are tight, but I think the problem is with that little rachet system.

It raises and lowers fine, but when I'm driving, the seat rocks back and forth by like a inch. It is really annoying when I hit bumps, because (to me), it makes the car feel like the suspension is messed up and handling is crappy(when it really isn't), plus I can't imagine it is very safe.

Has anybody else had this problem?

I know it's a recal on the 02-03's. The bolt tends to get stripped or messed up, they replace it with what they say is a "hevy duty" bolt lol. Take it to the dealer, have them fix it.

I can't. My 36k warrenty is expired.

Actually, the problem didn't start until RIGHT AFTER the warrenty expired.

it's a recall, it don't matter. I think it is replaced no matter what. How about I fix it for you and you sell me your back seat.

But if it is a recall on the 02-03 models, how does that cover my car? I have an 04.

I am not sure, it may be all years, it's worth a shot. If they say no, then don't get the work done.
