i think the donuts and the burnouts were the highlight of the meet. other than that i saw rich kids from highschool driving m3's and s4's(a few brought out their dad's), porsches, brand new evo's and subarus etc. also the token hondas buzzing around making alot of noise and not going anywhere.

these kids couldn't have been more than 16 or 17 judging by the amount of them that asked me if i could buy them a pack of cigarettes. i told them no because i don't support tobacco sales to minors.

then 10:00 hits and the sound of car alarms dis-arming. then nobody. sweet.....

the core group are with Milla Racing (including myself) and we don't participate in the antics that go on in the parking lot......please don't stay away from the meets b/c of some dumb kids :screwy:

as for the kids in the Audis and STis and Evos....personally, if their parents want to waste their money on brand new expensive cars for the kids who are still in high school then that's their problem.....we all know there are 2 types of new drivers....those who have crashed and those who are about to crash.........all i know is that when i have kids they'll know how to appreciate money and they'll get a nice POS just like i did for my first car

anyway back on topic......the reason the meet ends at 10:00 is b/c the Milla Racing group heads over to Champs for a while.....i guess everybody else just figures they should clear out then too

you guys didnt see any rich kids bragging or burning out though did you?

Just because some of us are lucky, and yes lucky, doesnt meet we dont know as much or arent as enthusiastic about cars as you. Some of us (yes, there are many who dont), actually realize what we have, how lucky we are, and that we are really fortunate. But my M wasnt my first car. I had a 325ci. Price aside, and yes I appreciated that aswell, the 325 is a great beginners car and i loved driving it. Im just fortunate enough to have parents who support my PASSION/OBSCESSION (i would say that driving/talking/arguing about cars maybe a realistic 4-5 hrs a day, visiting nearly ever dealership in the vicinity, going to as many autox, track events, and car shows as possible would count as a obscession) and actually can let me live my dream at a young age.

I realize that some kids are dousches and just go to these things to brag about thier cars, but many, especially most of the Millaracing people, are just as enthusiastic as you are and want to be with other enthusiasts. (however...the kid with the s4 is a bit stuck up...ill admit...but comon...)

The real losers are the ones to go to these events and try to show off with stupid stunts that can only result in someone getting hurt. That is what we should be trying to get rid of.

So if the cops come this week and tell you guys that you cant have meets anymore because of previous complaints form burnouts you are not responsible for that??????
If you go and act like an ass you are not only representing yourself but the rest of the group as well. People who see a group gathering arent going to be able to differentiate between who is a regular & part of a group and some random idiot showing up trying to be a cool guy showiing off.

i guess you got all A's and took the trash out, so they bought you the M huh?

i don't go to "show off", i go to see if anybody wants to "race" me or if there is any "fast" junkpiles there. didn't see any- alot of bling and a few nicely setup road racing cars (cool in my book, again if you have the bank roll- drag racing is WAY cheaper).

even the guy in the lambo didnt' want race, instead he did a 100 foot burnout inches away from parked cars, with a car coming the opposite way, then said "can your car do a burnout like that?" when i asked him if he wanted to run. i even told him to bring that overpriced excuse for a modified viper out (henessey) to run me but he declined, and started quoting magazine articles, 0-60mph stats, and the size of his wheels, and how much the paint job costs etc...

(refferring to SLEEPERSTYLE)ya, but Terry is a 50 yr old man, not one of the young people w/daddy's money, he bought the cars...and ya, he too acts a bit haughy, but jeez, you dont even KNOW him...

A
and as for me and my M, YES "daddy" bought it for me. But, he bought it knowing my obscession and knowing that he wanted to do something with me. He wanted somthing he could build up with me and have fun with while we are BOTH in our better times. Whats the problem with that??? We will be taking that car to autoxs and track events...we will be doing that all throughout summer. Ya, i have A's, and do what im told...but that isnt even part of it.

Your a human being, if you had something you wanted nearly more then anything but thought it was just too far out of reach to ASK for (which i did not) and someone (who cares who they are) just says...hey...wanna do it (you know what i mean for that)...you would be the happiest bugger in the world!!

And as for the coming to see if anyone wants to race you...im pretty sure i speak for most people when we say thats NOT what we want at these meets...dosnt mean that you couldnt end up taking someone to a Drag Strip...but coming to the meet JUST to find people to race isnt coming with the best intention.

Im not trying to start anything. Just try not to generalize these young kids stuck uppiness(...not a word...but o well...), and try to accept that these people are usually just as enthusiastic as you...or maybe it should be the other way around...

sleeperstyle- what car do you drive?

ill agree wtih you to a point. yes, there are a few really young guys with cars that are far beyond the price range that most people can afford, but dont hate on them for it. everyone i have met is really cool and fun to hang with.

i never look at the price tag of anyones car. i look at the work thats been done to it, and give respect if the owner did his own work to make the car what it is. anyone can make money and buy an expensive car, but not everyone can take a normal car and make it something special with their own two hands.

Im new to the this board, but not new to the scene. I have been with the Milla group for a very long time, and I cant stress enough how disapointed I was on Friday night with the donuts and fly-bys. That is only good for one thing and thats for us to be asked to leave that area.
We have a good thing going, if the organizer asked people not to do burnouts and donuts, maybe we can respect John and the meeting spot and not do them.
and if someone with a nice car is a jerk-off dont talk to them, talk to someone that is freindly and wants to talk about there car or just cars.
I drive a the silver corvette z06, and everyone that I have meet at Milla's meets have been pretty cool. My freinds drive some pretty cool cars M3,Porsche's,camaro's, and vettes, although some peeps might not think there cool, if you want to talk about cars we are always areound to BS.
Sorry about the long rant.

As for what "lagos" said, i agree. Anyone can just buy a car. It takes a special skill/talent to be able to build something original.
My enjoyment endures; scraping together all the pennies i have, taking a 15 year old 4 cylinder car, putting in my blood sweat and tears and the enjoyment of pulling up to some rich asshole pulling off the lot in his $100K car and handing him his ass. A feeling that he will never have.

hey man, im done arguing, but as a last an final remark on my part, you sir, are the asshole here in that YOU are the one complaining about something totally pointless rather then just forgetting about it and moving on. I already said I was fortunate in my reasoning...what else to you want...what else is there even to say??? . If you were a real car enthusiast, like others have said you would DROP the money issue and just enjoy the cars for what they are and what they can do. I know i enjoy cars from 4000 (e30 3 series) to 1 mill. I dont care what it costs. Im glad you feel high and mighty that your car can and would most definately smoke mine. NO doubt about it. If that makes you happy then thats fine with me. Now can you rest peacefully...or do you want to gripe about something else.

One thing i take very personally though is you, even jokingly, saying that if "i didnt smoke so much pot, i would have gotten a GT2"...that is a load of horse**** and in no way supports your character in all of this crap. You dont know me, dont even joke about that.

In final, i honestly dont want to start a fight and at the next meet, wouldnt even mind talking to you...about cars maybe...rather then financial issues which dont really matter...

The gaps in the rings close when boost is applied. The motor was originally built to run 35+ PSI. Motor was built with my intenions. Compression is still 195 across the board. :finga: Trust me I know what shot ringlands do and how a car feels when that happens.

so this is your car, and sleeperstyle is trying to say its his? i dont get the point behind that.

i dont know who told you that about the motor, but that info is not at all correct. you should never be leakin oil past your ringlands, and if you are, your comression numbers would be horrible. but there is a slight possibilty that there is still oil inside the chamer when you do the comp test, and this is whats creating an air tight seal and giving you good compression. if you do a leakdown test, it should show the real problem.

Lagos, he had the head off that motor last week, dont worry it's fine. The car ****ing rips on 14psi :) The oil is probably from the turbo, it has seen its fair share of abuse including running 27+ psi :)

As far as sleeperstyle saying its his, it was joke.

Have you taken your celica to the track at all? Or dyno?

good deal. i was just trying to give some feeback, thats all.

i have never been to a track, but i went to the dyno a few weeks ago. the car made 230hp and 240TQ at the wheels at about 12-13psi. i had issues with the boost controler holding steady (boost kept falling off to about 10psi in the higher rpm). i plan to go back again with my new ebc and redyno the car at 15psi. not bad for a celica that started out at about 115hp at the wheels.

Yeah. Phillydsm is having a dyno day at Philly dyno works pretty soon. It's open to other cars too so you could come and dyno then.

Slow4toSlowTi….now now, no such thing occurred. And you don't know me well enough to shoot the ****. But if you like, I can introduce you to about a dozen lengths and we can get acquainted thereafter. I may even buy you some latkas.

barry- i appologise.
for everybody's information his actual quote was "cowboy butts drive me nuts".

i have beaten yellow gto numerous times, all wins by default. after doing a 20-110mph run with him in the pass. seat he had to crawl into the nearest drug store to get some valium (sp?) in order to calm down. kind of like when little girls see n'sync for the first time and they faint- he was at a loss for words and was looking flushed and pale. i actually felt bad for the poor guy, never experienced something like that i guess.

now back on topic-

Hey george i don't give a **** how well you think i know you or not. And do i really care that your supra can beat me, not at all. Oh and the jewish joke are real tough say that to my face please cause i will be more then happy to make it hard for you to even drive an auto. Don't think because i am young you can make cracks towards my religion. I don't know if you think people are scared of you or something but don't try to act like a tough guy. I would think the old guy would be the one to show maturity in this situation but you show your true colors and act like a child making cracks about my religion.
