take it to a firestone they'll work on lowered cars...i have a link somewhere that i'll have to look for but it's for lifetime alignments real cheap.

i beg to differ...i just had mine at firestone by the montgomeryville mall 2 weeks ago and they gave me the lifetime alignment for like $100....i even asked b/c mine is so low and the guy that signed my paperwork said i could come in twice a week if i wanted to.

i'm a firm believer that you pay for what you get  and something as important as an alignment i've just never felt comfortable going to any other shop than the front end specialist i go to

thats usually true, but i also feel that people who think that paying top dollar everywhere because it translates to top quality... well, i think they're idiots.
i get pinpoint accuracy alignmnets at a local shop who i got a 3 year unlimited plan from and it was very inexpensive considering i use it about 3x a year. i'll admit i was lucky enough to find a tech there who really knows his stuff and although he bitches a bit he always makes sure my car is done right. i normally hang out with him while he's doing it...

there is a tires plus on ridge ave in norristown. they have a really nice laser alignment machine that works well with aftermarket rims. they put 4 reflective panels on each wheel (unlike the old style machines) and can give you a print out of your before and after settings.

Might be a ways out of the city...but there is also a Tires Plus in Chalfont (202 & County Line). Ask for Pat, he is a good friend of mine, and will set your car up however you want.

i agree that people who pay top dollar all the time are idiots for thinking that they're always getting the best product/service.......however, you were very lucky to be able to have found that shop with that tech there....but if he were to leave...that's another story

i always have the owner of the shop do the work on my car, i hang out with him while he's doing it everytime, PLUS if its not a very busy day and i need to do something real quick on the car he lets me work on my car while its up on the rack

ha the first time i went to get my car aligned at this place with the new coilovers he couldnt get it dialed in right with the camber bolts so i hopped on the rack to adjust the camber plates. only problem is that i am a complete dumbass and with the front of the car in the air i succeeded in dropping the coilover out of the upper mount completely. i felt like an idiot at his shop on his time... luckily he helped me work it back into place and now i try to not touch my car too much when its not in my garage.

I'm in the NE and I need 2 tires mounted and balanced, I'd like to get one of those allignment plans as well..I want to make sure time is taken as to not scratch my forged aluminum BBS's with the counterweights on the LIP of the wheel, and remove them carefully. I really need this done ASAP so if anyone has any places in mind that would be great.

:iagree:  :rotfl:

that's pretty damn funny bryan.....but that was on his time?? i've been going to the place i use for so long now that he mounted and balanced 2 wheels and tires for me and then let me pull my car into the shop, throw it on the rack, pull of my winter wheel setup, take off the spacers and install my summer wheels.......all on my own w/o him even being in the shop.....PLUS only charged me 25 bucks

it always pays off to remain loyal to people

Don't go to the Meineke in Exton. They told me they'd do a custom alignment to my specs for $60. They spent 2 hours on it and still couldn't get the front camber the way I wanted (-2.0*) and charged me $95 due to the amount of time.

I should have stuck with Robert's Subaru.
