To sum it up? he's a horrid driver.
Granted he is a rookie - but in the last 4 races, he retired in 3 of them. Placed 13th out of a grid of 22 in the 3rd race (Australian GP).
Only Franck Montagny is below him, he started the European GP for Super Aguri , and he's going to replace Ide on that team.

Is he causing wrecks or just making stupid moves on the track to endanger other drivers?

He's just made a lot of rookie errors. He had relatively no F1 testing when they brought him in (they wanted an all-Japanese racing crew) so his errors endangered others.
In Bahrain he collided w/ his crew (lightly) but enough to put him out of the race, after his crew didnt clear the grid quickly enough at the start and caused a penalty.
Although he did manage to make it through Australia w/o crashing. Only 13 of the original 22 cars finished that race...torrent it if you can!

when Super Aguri announced thay Ide was going to be one of their drivers i didn't think it was the best idea in the world
he didn't have any real testing prior to his admission into F1 and obtaining his Super License

Honda wanted an all Asian team. Ide can not drive at the F1 level. I think he was a Japan GT Champion, but he can not compete at the F1 level right now. He is a danger and he is way too slow off the pace. Also having old Arrows Orange cars (around 3 years old I think) doesn't help either. There are many more drivers better qualified than him. But these days its not always what you know but also who you know. I am glad to see an American finally back in F1. Scott Speed is doing great considering he is driving for Red Bull's #2 team. I wonder what he could do with a better car. Jeff Gordan is another American who would be great at F1. He should leave NASCAR for F1. I know a few years back Speed had a special during an F1 US GP weekend where Gordan drove JPMs Williams BMW and was only a second off the pace. Tomorrow I'm taping the practice session for this weeks race.
