Now let me begin by saying i know there are plenty of cars out there that if driven well will hang in there with evos and stis......but for christs sake a ford lightning is not one of them......so this guy was on my ass just pushin me up 282...if your in downingtown or the area around there...you know what some of the turns and stuff are like....and he starts beepin at me and flashin nd ****....so i took off, and being the ****y ass this guy was he does as well, so i go d=faster.......around one turn, hes still comin, around 2 turns.....whered he go?......my curiosity got the best of me ao i turned around, sure enough the ass went off the road and smashed the crap out of the truck, i stopped to see if he was ok and he just gives me this **** you attitude so i just split before any cops or anything came to let him explain what happened himself.....i swear to god i hate jackass' that think bc they can go fast, that they can go fast anywhere

In the corners Lightings suck. On the drag strip....that's a different story. They can hit over 500whp with minor bolt ons.

Yes, one of my best friends has a 486WHP lightning and the thing is sick, cannot turn as well as our cars, but you have to figure, that sucker weights in at something like 5500 + lbs and is a brick when driving down the highway compared to our cars... it's bad a$$!!

IMO there is nothing cool about a fast pickup truck that's built terribly.

It's market: redneck, mash-the-whee-hah-pedal, straightline, NASCAR Truck Series junkies who don't have a clue what DRIVING is all about.

To top it off this guys acts like a major tool by tailgaiting a car with 10x the performance as his POS truck, crashes because he can't keep up, and acts like an ass when ToTheIX's checks to see if he's alright...LOSER.

It has nothing to do with AWD. It has to do with an idiot driving a TRUCK trying to keep up with a car. I could outrun a lightning in a bone stock Civic in the turns.

I've whooped up on an EVO in the turns with my moms old SLK230.(Many TSTer's were there for that) So, the car has nothing to do with anything.

I agree with the guy that said 282 is no joke! I took a group of about 6-7 G35's from the greater Philly area on 282 about a year ago one saturday morning.....and lets just say a few of them almost lost it bigtime - and the others were def impressed by the turns and off-camber corners of that road.

If you could close down the stretch from Dtown to Glennmore for a few hours and just rip on it using both lanes and no cops etc - that would be one of lifes greatest thrills! Esp if u lost it into the darn Brandywine!!! LOL

Yea, 282 is a great twisty spot for sure. Some roads out in Unionville/West Chester/West Bradford area arent too bad either - but not as long as 282.

+1 with this comment, my buddy in w/ the lightning is an incredible driver and would probably surprise most people that doubt other vehicles...

just because we have evo's and sti's does not mean we are king of the road, we just have a car that is easy to go through the twisties with.

i love my evo and i know it is the mack daddy at handling, but no doubt other cars with half the technology in suspension could have a good driver outrun an evo/sti with an inexperienced big headed fool driving it.
