I will be there with Teamxxxracing. Not sure if my car will be done to run SFWD but if not I will be running brackets. We owned the brackets on Saturday and Sunday at the E-town event looking to do it again at ATCO.
There is also NOPI in MD these two days also.

It got to the point I went to line up every 10 minutes for almost an hour, just to try to get the .000 light for the 375 bux, I would just go up and run a 25.03@40mph and drive right past the ticket booth..Closest I got was a .003.. I could have made 30 passes today if I wanted, I think I actually made over 10 passes. Anyway, there are alot of sick cars to look foward to tommorow.

They make her have more weight in the car...and they tune it to go slower. She has 250 Pounds of metal bars in the trunk. I was talking to the easy street crew and julie herself for awhile...It has alot of unusable power because of the class restrictions...Hell they call it a wrx even though its an Sti to save them from adding another 100 Pounds to the car.

Wow, how about you read the class rules before making a post like this.
The weight in their trunk is to get to the minimum weight, the minimum weight that ALL AWD cars with a turbo and nitrous need to be at (3200lbs). They do get a 100lb penalty for the insanely expensive non-OEM transmission they run, but that has nothing to do with it being a suburu or an STi.
That car should not be in that class, period. They need to step it up and move into a class thats a little more suited for their budget. The class they are in is intended for STREET cars. The rules state that the car must be registered and tagged and even must have items such as a horn and wipers. It also states that all factory controls must remain in place and operative. That car does not have all its controls in place any longer so it technically doesn't meet the rules.
The purpose of this class was intended to be for people to be able to race their street legal imports, but the insane budget of a team like Easy Street ruins it for the little guy. You can see just by the car counts dwindling, two whole cars at Atco? They also don't care about the spectator, they make one qualifying run? What happened to the racers putting on a show for the people who payed money to get in? Have you ever seen John Force sit out his remaining qualifying runs after qualifying number 1 in the first session? I don't think so.
Easystreet could compete in one of the pro catagories but they wouldn't dominate like they do in sport RWD. They'd still be the largest budget team in the class they decide to run in but I guess they like beating up on the little guys.
BTW, for all of you Julie nutswingers, anyone notice that she can't find the finish line? When asked "why did you hit the brakes before the end of the track" she replied with "I didn't know I did, everything is just happening so fast up there." This is after her second race in a row hitting the brakes well before the finish line.
For those of you who want to say "well you've never driven something that fast"... yes, I have, and I know where the finish line is when I race.

To say she cant drive is crazy...its a 9 secodn subaru...TO just HOP in and drive it is kind fo hard...why she hit the brakes...I dunno, Mayeb she was going to fast and didnt want to have NHRA adding more weight to the car for being wuicker than they say they are.

You should learn how to spell before trying to insult someone also.
I've driven a 9 second car also and I've driven a 9 second car that leaves a lot harder than her car. I know what it takes, you should speak on something you do know about.
Ever think that maybe they were blowing you full of BS because they are representing a shop that sells suburu parts so they are playing up their performance? The rules are published for everyone to read. There are no penalties for going too fast in a heads up class. I've read the rules hundreds of times since I built my car to compete in that class. I've also talked to the crew in the lanes where they know I'm not some "punk kid."
So once again, don't speak until you get your facts straight. If rules bore you then don't talk about them.

If you guys think she is just somebody of the street, then go to easystreets site and read her background. This is a direct quote from the site: "Julie is the youngest of our finalists at eighteen. Don’t let her age fool you though. She has been drag racing for nine years as a junior dragster and later in Super-Comp (8.04@163mph) and a 1968 Camaro (10.80@120mph)" So she obviously can handle a car regardless of what kind/price of transmission is in the car, and as far as braking before the finish line, she must be doing it for a reason?????
Im not arguing, im just stating some background about the driver......just my .02.

there is 300 pounds bolted in the trunk. The extra weight is becuase of being AWD and having two power adders. Yes if they removed the weight the car would go 8s no problem but they would no longer meet the rules. As for the control not working on the car I know they are all in place I'm not sure if they all work still or not.

I never said she was someone off the street. I have just as much racing experience as her and I can tell you, I always know where the finish line is. She is the one that stated "everything happens so fast", not me. If the car was on the verge of some portion of the rules, I'd agree with you that they are purposely braking for a reason, but it's not. From 8.50 - 9.99 the rules remain the same. At 150, the only change in rules is the requirement of a parachute, which they have. The rules DO NOT require an AWD car to pull the chute at 150mph, so that is another non-issue.

I know that there is weight in the back of the car, I'm not disputing that. All I am saying is that their max weight is the same as everyone else's max weight with the same modifications (AWD, 2 power adders and non-OEM trans). It's not my fault they removed too much weight from the car and have to add weight back in.
Also, I'm pretty sure the car no longer has HVAC controls in it. They are the controls in particular that I was refering to. The car has a carbon fiber piece replacing where the HVAC and radio are stock. I didn't look close enough to notice any other items missing, but I'm sure they are there.

I'd agree with you that they are purposely braking for a reason, but it's not. From 8.50 - 9.99 the rules remain the same.
So she ran 9.1ish right? If she braked hard a good bit before the finish line, then does it make sense that its possible that the car can beat a 8.50? Somebody had asked her if it will go faster than 9's and there is great speculation that it is very capable to run faster than 9's. Maybe they are just running as conservative as they can and still win races?
And as far as, "everything is happening so fast", that is obviously just some excuse. She used to race 8sec cars. She could just be playing the innocent girl racer card. The brakes are being hit for a reason, bottom line.

"She used to race 8 second cars" gives here very little credibility in my book, and really is not a factor in judging someones skill behind the wheel necessarily.. She has not even been cutting good lights last weekend, and thats basiclly the only thing she can mess up driving that car, aside from hitting the brakes early:rofl:
She is a decent driver, but she basicly has the race season bought for her..

So racing for half of her life gives her little credibility? Im pretty sure that in the years that she has been racing she has obtained the necessary skills to know what she is doing. And the hitting the brakes deal......that is done for a reason....read my last post explaining that maybe the car can run an 8.5 or better and they are just running the car as hard as they have to to ensure a win?
