Why not log it and tune it urself?? Its not like you can use someone else maps. Every car is different.

There are not set answers man. You have to see how your car is running and adjust accordingly. If it was that simple to just say what it should be you would not be needing all this expensive tuning devices.

What are you using to connect? usb to serial adapter or straight serial?

I think Sandra is running a self-tuned DSM Link.

I have 2 different adapters, both are usb to serial. I got one from radio shack, can't remember where I got the other one from.

I use a radioshack one as well. Is this happening all of a sudden or have you never been able to connect?

First, make sure the adapter is working correctly (test it with something else). If that checks out, you can go to EDIT>OPTIONS>CONFIG and make sure the right ecu type is selected and try switching between the available COM ports. I had to change mine to be able to connect.

Not sure why you guys keep mentioning the self tuned thing. Dsmlink is NOT an AEM EMS. You do NOT need some certified tuner to tune it. 90% of dsmlink owners tune it themselves...its designed to be pretty easy to use.

First off, sorry to hijack this thread:o No, I've never gotten the dsmlink to hook up yet. What else could I check it with?? I guess I can check out the COM port thing. I'm pretty sure the ECU is set up for the a 2G. (Which is what I have). I've had this car for 2 years, bought it as a project. I think its close to being kick a$$, just need to get the Link tuned. Somebody HELP me!!

DSMLink v2
Tubular exhaust mani.
950cc Inj.
walbro 255 lph.

That's a low 11 sec setup with a good tune and even better driver. Very similar to Wil's setup.

My car runs 13.3s and the turbo is laggy.... :afro:

I keed. Certainly with 26-29 psi the car should be into the 11s.

I hope by tuned you mean I play with it occassionally only at the track.

Yes, no one touches my tuning but me, but I wouldn't call it tuned yet. Better than it was, yes, tuned, not yet.
