I didn't make it out to the track tonight but I did run into huff on his way home from the track while I would out test driving my car after installing my suprise. We did a little pull up to about 90 and I stuck right with him. Didn't see him pulling one bit. I'll give him the credit that he had 3 people in the car(including him self) but I did just fill up on gas.

I wish i would have went, but i had a volunteer firefighter meeting at 8. My dad was there, and he said he talked to Karl, and then he tells me i wont every run my car again because of a kid with a silver one that blew his tranny or something?

Keith blew is first gear atleast in his 05 wrx. That sucked...he just got there and it was his first run of then night! Hope everything works out for man!

That does suck blowing a gear, and i suppose he has no warranty?? That aint going to be cheap to fix. I thought they "FIXED" the tranny problems with the newer cars..?

yea i was waiting for keith to post up, but he's got more important fish to fry now... he blew all the teeth off first gear. not pretty :(

wierd too, because he only launched at 4k, slipping the clutch, but it just must have been something wierd in the way the clutch engaged vs when he matted the gas...

just a suckie situation, i was so sad when it happened. it is always bothersome when someone breaks, but when its one of your own, you feel like you've witnessed a bad accident or something :(

Thats how i bent my damn axle, to much sticky of a track, i hooked up like real real good, but the after effect of it wasnt as great ( bent axle) That sucks Ryan, you blew your first gear also? Damn atleast when i blew 2nd gear in my old car i had 70k on it! That sucks also... 14k miles and he blew 1st gear, i would be pissed, did he launch it hard.. or..?

Thats not bad 4k... when i blew my tranny in my old '02 wrx, i launched that thing from 7k.. lol. That sucks though, that aint cheap to fix.

i rev between 5500-6000 and slip it out...used to run 1.8x on the wrx motor now i run 1.7x 60'

So it looks like it was a combo of things, the track was very sticky, and I didnt rev far enough, My car is a subaru right now, stock and Im really hoping they can help me. Funny thing is that it drives perfectly fine outside of no first. they told me it would be about a 2 day job so hopefully this works out, im going to have a new stock clutch put in also. Honestly though guys this is the end of drag racing for me. I cant afford the next tranny.

yea I did run a 13.6 @ 101.7mph... with out launching and lazy shifting you ran a 12.7 @ 106 and launched the crap out of your car. Plus I have that little bit extra on the car now. I'm was just sayin you were not pullin on me homes calm down.

See like Huff and everyone can slip their clutch out, ig ot that damn ACT 6 puck with no springs, and there is no slippage at all, but it is kind of better, because launching with that clutch rules, because it just grabs, no slippage at all, and takes off. Driving it around town and in traffic is horrible though.

nope infact they tore it apart today and voided it!! Arent they the best, appearantly if your car breaks before your 36k they say you were too abuseive on your sports car with a rally heritage. Sorry im drunk and bitter right now.
