Evo Pics - Updated for 2006

[9 Ball]

I took a ridiculous amount of pics last week after I put the new bumper on the car (I actually got the bumper last month.) These shots do not showcase the new tires I have now which are my new Dunlop 255/35s. The tires in the pics are my old 235s. I also had to resize a bunch of these because I took them at 1600x 1200 or greater, so the pixels may look a little crunched - but you get the idea. When I got this car 2 years ago I wasn’t really sure how far I would go. Then in the spring of 2005 I started modding and here I am exactly one year later. So here’s the new pics for 2006 - Please enjoy.

Yeah, the rear of the car looks a little bland now because of the new front. I need a new rear bumper now. The intercooler is stock. It just looks more massive behind this bumper. I’m not exactly sure which bumper it is (it’s a replica) because I got it from “BadassEvo.” I’ll have to ask him.

Yea, I believe it's street concepts but they have awesome quality! I know the gialla is like $1000 bucks lol. You should get the street concepts version of the jdm evo 9 rear bumper, where the bottom part is it's carbon fiber and not just painted black the the jdm one. Awesome fitment as well.

and also, nice locations! apparently i dont know where anything is cause everyone is always posting up sweet shoot locations and i dont have a clue.

I’m extremely pleased it fit well for a replica, because I’m very picky. Gruppe-S is selling the Gialla front for $840 so the replica was a good deal. It’s fiberglass, so if Street Concepts makes a fiberglass bumper this is probably it. Of course I like carbon fiber so I’ll have to look at their rear IX bumper also. :wink:

I had been debating about getting the IX front bumper vs. the Gialla for several months. I was never a big fan of this bumper until I saw it in person. It totally changed the identity… you’ll see it in person soon.:wink:

Right under the hood and between the top of the headlights? I hadn’t thought about painting it. I could however, put a strip of black tape there as a test to see how it would look in black. It could possibly give it a more aggressive look.

I took them between 1:00am and 3:00am on a Monday morning. But there were still cars out there. I only got a chance to take a couple of shots in the middle of the street and they were all fuzzy because I didn’t want to get my azz run over.:rolleyes: This was a good shot but I still had to sharpen it up a bit when I got on the computer.

The funny part – there was this photographer walking by and he was like “What the hell are you trying to get?” “I’m just taking shots of my car,” I said. We talked for a few minutes and then he gave me his business card. I’ll have to link him to this thread. I know it had to look really strange with me on the ground taking shots of a car.

Here is a clear shot that I didn’t post up when I was on JFK blvd. I’ve got a ton of pics from that night.

The meets keep getting further away from me.:mrgreen: I haven't been to Fresh Works since it moved from Absolutes, but I'll be out this week or next week to check everybody out. I'm also gonna try and enter a few shows this summer with "Philly Boy" and a few other guys. I may aswell show this thing off now.

I'm looking for another investment property and takes a bit of my time these days and that's one of the reasons why I've been hard to spot. But you'll see me - don't worry.:afro:
