Someone took my stripes and put it on their car..

He should of had the scooby-gold wheels though, just doesn't look right with silver rims.

Is this a good thing or bad?

I unfortunately voted no.

I don't think racing stripes belong on Japanese supercars. Asthetically it looks out of place.
That said though, it's you car and if YOU like them and want them, I will back you all the way.

*edit* Looking at the car, I think the problem is the strips aren't wide enough. Wider stripes might look better...

Just don't get vinyl of stuff tearing out of your car. :wiggle:

Disconcur. I like them. But I agree that you would need gold/bronze wheels to go with it. I think it's different. And i like that they aren't wider- they aren't too 'i'm trying to be like a camaro-ish'...

i am gona have to say i dislike. its to bold and stand out too much. Mabe something that is a different shade of black like ghost stripes would look decent.

I agree. It may look better if they were silver or slightly more spread apart. Getting run over by a line painting truck is a good description.

Homer has a black/gold combo so the stripes would have to be gold.
I also vote roof delete on the stripes.

Overwhelmed by the great and funny feedback. I did laugh at the paint truck analogy! :rotfl:

I agree with Pete on not too bold on the color and make it ghosted with a hint bronze/gold. Mike made a good point about (and I would prefer) the width of the stripes being greater, however, I think I would need to figure out a crafty way for it to still look good as it goes across the hoodscoop. If I went wider, it would have to run down the sides of the scoop and on to the hood again, which would require that section to be wider than the rest of the stripes.

Eh.. still sitting back and taking it in, I just can't find the right mix yet of "different looking from the rest, clean and not ricer"!

I still believestripes can be done tastefully without it going overboard.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys.

Hey, I could do off-centered stripes like Herbie the love bug!

I dont know about that. It doesent look to bad but Subarus arent the kinda car for those stripes just like DSMs. They just dont go rite.
If you like them put them on they will probably look good but its something i would neevr do.

I know we've talked about it before at the meets, I'm not feelin those stripes. may be wider and a little farther apart i dunno but the paint lines anology is the best. Would look a little better on yours cuz you have gold wheels but still not enough to look good all around i think. Just my $.02

I'm amazed kef hasn't chimed in, he was gonna throw up the last time he mentioned it. Maybe too disgusted to even reply.
