Finals!!!!!!

Early this morning around 8am, i haneded in my six(6) page Final researh paper. and man did it feel good. all i have to do now is go to soc class for a review, then take the final next tuseday, and im done. WHOOT!!!!

I had an Economics at 8:30am. I got a Statistics one at 2pm. I got IH on monday at 8:30 and an Accounting Final on Tuesday at 8:30.

Lucky, handed in my final paper for my World History 2 paper the other day. Yesterday in class like 4 people had to go see her after class. Yea we turned the papers in to a website and they found **** like I plagarised. She wanted us to use a diff way of citing and I cited the quotes in my paper wrong and shes trying to tell me I plagerised it all. man,.. in my senior year in one of my classes they had us writing a difficult program, and only gave us a week or so to do it. me and my partner just couldnt get it done, and a friend of ours in the class said his was finished and offered to let us use the code.. we refused and figured we'd be honorable about it..

so we hand in the half finished project and the next day the teacher emailed me and asked why we didnt finish it. i told him we were short on time mostly and couldnt get it figured out. he told me since it was the biggest project it would hurt us immensely and told me we could have the day until 4pm(it was a saturday) to finish it. so i called my partner, and we both rushed to the computer lab to work on it. after a couple hours with time running down we realized we didnt have enough time,.. and decided to just give up and use the code our friend offered.

so we combed through it, changed variable names, indentation, etc, etc... handed it in. a week or so later was the final.while we were taking the final he was handing back the printed source code for the project with the grade on it. i got mine and it said "please visit my office after class". CRAP!

so after the class my partner told me hers said the same, as well as our friends...

so we went up to his office, and to our suprise there was 2 other pairs of students there as well.. basically just about everyone in the class used 1 project(i dont think anyone realized so many people used it).

he basically sat us down and said "anything you want to say?" so of course we confessed, knew we were caught. he told us he could have us kicked out of school, etc, etc.. but he just gave us an f for the project. somehow i still got a B as my final grade.. not sure how that works out :lol: but i did feel really crappy and lucky after the lecture.

I just finished my last final! About an hour ago, good feeling.

I only had two finals and a portfolio... Italian was brutal, but journalism was honestly the easiest final of my life. And now I'm done. Yessssss

cis projects suck...i hate when teachers expect you to write a fully-functional program AND study for extra classes at the same time...glad those times are LONG over... :)

yeah, and that teacher was the worst. when he graded our projects he would have a list of things he was looking for and would give points off if things were missing.

however these things were not all functional items, and we had no access to the list until we got the grading sheet. so basically we had to guess what he was looking for.. it was totally retarded to the point where he was taking points off for spelling mistakes in the gui.

also when he gave us our midterm he told us we could use notes and internet. what he didnt account for was that he posted the same test on his web page with answers after he gave it to a class in a previous semester. so pretty much everyone found it by typing the questions into google. :lol: then he made us retake the test for HIS mistake. .. so annoying.

oh just remembered this one.. in one class i had a 10 page final paper.. worked my ass off on it.. lots of fluff though, which any long paper has..

anyway.. went to hand it in on the last day and the teacher goes "right now im gonna read what your grades are at this moment. if you are happy with it,.. go home. if you want, you can hand in your paper and it can help or hurt you."

so i had a B+ or something and didnt end up getting credit for the paper. i gave it to him to grade, but not count, and he said it was typical for how i did in the class.. meaning it wouldnt have made a difference anyway. he basically told me that the choice doesnt make a difference because the paper's in 99% of cases reflected the same quality of work that the student did all semester

this was IH2 for any temple students.. you all know how fun that class is :lol:

well like i said it was up to you if you wanted to risk the grade you already had. and also in most cases it didnt affect the grade.

i don't think teachers do that to hurt you, I think they do it to see someone who is pursuing a better grade and trying to do better. I'm willing to bet if you submitted it, he woulda given you the higher grade...just my two cents

Yea well I emailed her yesterday about it and explained what happened. It wasnt like I cheated it was just screwing up on the quoting. She sent me an answer saying "Thanks so much for your message Chris". She was supposed to email us today telling the 4 people whats going on. Its beat that it was an honest mistake on my part. Im in college, we rarley had to quote at Tennent and when I did it was nothing like how she wanted it.
