For the past two days I've been trying to get all our accounts at my work up to date, i.e. all bank recs completed, all checks and deposits entered, adjusting entry, a/r reports and everything.

Really no biggie.

Except, our one account. The girl before me I guess didn't feel like doing this account. Yesterday morning I started Janurary 2005 bank rec. It had 97 checks on it. I had to enter all those 97 checks into our system so we could tie out. ****ty thing is more than half those checks are missing.

Its a really ****ty operation how this aco**** works cause non of the check s written ever go through me (i.e. I don't write any of these checks) THIS BLOWS

Its half way through my second 10 hour day on this and I am only on august.

DOWN WITH ACCOUNTING.

chris chris chris. times are tough eh? you'll find something, if not maybe you can help me do installs this summer lol.

btw accounting must really suck.

Jeffros i am sure there is one positive... you are getting paid well. And muddy wanna come sell phone i can off 8.50 an hour, no seriously is going back to your old job a option.

Easy....Not being derragatory (sp?) most accounting places are very dry and boring. Where I work is not boring at all, they do some pretty crazy things...like get me drunk and take me to Delila's Den after a Phillies Game.

I was thinking about Majoring Accounting but it just seems to boring. But seems to be worth the money.

Depends where you work. I work in a company where theres always alot going on and its exciting.

Oh yeah...Accounting= Fun....

I'll pass after two years of fixing terribly kept accounting.
