I raced one of my friends in his 99 Integra GSR hes stock i have Intake/Header/Axleback Exhaust. We went from a stop and he got a bad launch and i pulled a fender, after that it all went downhill. he pulled passed me and put a car on me where he stayed until about 100 where we shut down. We also went from a 40 roll, where i pulled pretty decently but then he pulled again and put a fender on me...overall im happy with my cars performance to a car with 10hp on me and a bigger motor (1.6 vs. 1.8)

Nice run man. Which color is his car. I've seen a few GSRs around.

AMEN.

Seriously, all I hear is kids who run high 15s and 16s talking about how they spun through 2nd and into 3rd. What the hell.. my skinny winter tires will chirp 2nd and that's about it...

I know what a Tc runs. What does that have to do with anything?

I said YOU shouldn't use the bald tires excuse because YOU run mid 15's on a good day.

How come I could pull 2.0 60's on tires that were showing the belts? Or 2.2's on bald tires on my LS hatch? Or 2.2's on bald tires on the H22???

Please, come back with something better then that.

I can blame not breaking into the 12's yet on my tires. Damn 100 shot always breaks them loose in first, second, and 3rd, lol.

I wanna race. I've got 272s, too. And I think I still have over 270whp ;)

99ElectronBlueCivicSi, your better off taking some air out of your tires to help with wheel spin. Not sure what kind of tires you have but if they are half way decent you can probably get away with mid 20 psi. I've run as low as 19 at the track with the tires cold. And once they heat up they will automatically rise another 5 psi to help lower drag once you get going.

Of course, smaller wheels and bigger side walls help with traction too. Ever notice dragsters and other fast 1/4 mile burners don't run 17's with low profile tires. Smaller wheels are also lighter and can help you pick up a couple tenths in the 1/4.

All this info has been tried over on the NT DSM forums.

lol what turbo are you running 2.4?

2point4DSM

It's a little turbo. 60-1 compressor wheel, TD06H turbine wheel, and 8cm turbine housing, aka, FP Red. But I've got a relatively quiet muffler (read, restrictive) and catalytic converter.

Spinning wheels in first, second, and third?

You all need wider tires. Seriously. The stock 205's that come on lots of cars are good for a laugh (and not much else), unless you've got an ultralightweight car, and even then, extreme lightweights like the lotus's come with wider tires.

With RWD, and big 245's, even with an open differential, I used to spin first and chirp second hard. Occasionally I could squeak 3rd if I was really trying, the road was greasy, or it was cold out. With skinny tires, I can keep them lit all the way through first, and get a good squeal from second, and a good chirp from third without breaking a sweat.

I should be able to spin all of first and second if I wanted to...and I'll find out as soon as I get my more-better turbo :supz: :prayer: :wiggle:
