View Full Version : My dyno runs

Finally got my car tuned. I'm not too happy with the numbers, but oh well. Track times tell true power.

My header is killing me at the moment. My new one is sitting in the garage, waiting to go on.

Awesome numbers. I would have loved to see the turbo setup you were thinking of doing. Sick car.

It's still in the works. Funds are kind of low at the moment.

Hey, what happened to the front end? I don't remember the story.

What RPM is that 250WHP at? Probably more than mine spins to :).

I have a POS lip on the front that I hope rips off one day. Other than that, nothing.

Im not trying to sound nasty, because im just intrested in your car and the build just always have been, but what was the point of the stroker kit and all if you only put down 10whp more then the stock rated 240 at the fly? i know it takes the 2002 from a 2.0 to a 2.5 but for what? like what was the benifit from power?

please note im just intrested im not tryin to down the car, i like the car alot

LSHatch

I am making 50 more whp than a stock S2000. And 40ft/lbs more than a modded 04. I am only 20ft/lbs under a boosted S running 10lbs. So, not too bad. The torque curve of my motor compared to regulars F20's is drastically different. I have torque starting much more down low.

Also, like I posted first, my header is too small now and it's killing the car. At the end of the video I 300whp coming. That is just with fixing what needs to be changed.

Oh. Hahah. Mike, yeah I hit a deer. I was driving on Woodbourne Rd and it jumped out from the woods like a stupid animal. 60mph into a deer with the top down is kind of freaky.

190 Tq out of a 2.5 stroker? - Somethings wrong

How big of a turbo? You got enough fuel?

It's still a Honda though. I'm losing torque from my intake and header. They aren't up to breathing for the new big motor. It peaks, and then drops about 80ft/lbs before redline. Kind of sucks. The Inline Pro website shows almost similar numbers to mine.

Fuel is not a problem. Turbo is not in the works right now, so I haven't gone in depth with it. It will be something decently large.

GT60R :)

With a bigger (stroker) motor you'll be able to produce more power down low i.e. get a bigger turbo spooling faster.

Stroker = more displacement = more power.

And in this case stroker also means very well built :)

when you go turbo your gonna put down some serioues numbers. People are making over 400 rwhp stock block no problem with the inline pro kits, not to mention ems. Do you have a stock diff?

LSHatch
05-02-2006, 05:26 PM
Stock diff and I'm proud of it. Hasn't failed me after over 200 launches.

I'm shooting for around 500whp. We'll see though. The dyno didn't make me happy this time.

250whp is all you need if your gonna be road racing it. Stock s2000's are beasts. That thing should kick ass. People are allways so obsesed with making extreme power. A well balanced car owns all. And that's exactly what your car is.

Honestly, I was expecting more power. But even with 250whp it's still pushing a 2,500lbs car. And that's a very eficiant power/weight.

Good Luck. I hope to see that thing on the road course soon

I was expecting more power also. But, what are you going to do? It hauls on the street and kept up with a heads/cam/full bolt on C6 Vette. So, I'm not going to really complain.

I missed out on the track day I was signed up for two weeks ago. The car wasn't running anywhere near safe for tracking. It was stalling at high rpms.

with turbo ems and race gas you will easily push well over 500. when you go turbo did you plan on changing the headgasket? as for the diff- thats awsome i hope mine is that strong!! have you seen the vid of stock motor + diff + inline proturbokit and headgasket running 10.6 daily driven ?? theoretically, with your setup and turbo you would be in the 9's if you were to ever take to the drag strip :supz:

LSHatch
05-03-2006, 08:18 PM
Yeah, I'll be changing the headgasket. Depending on funds, I may even go lower comp. pistons.

I have seen the vid. That is pretty sick for a stock motor.

I've already got the EMS, so I just need the turbo. Haha.

Have faith in the stock diff. As long as you drive decent, you won't break it.

240 flywheel horsepower is like under 200 whp.

it's all about drivetrain loss :(

I don't know. Not with blues2k or whatever his handle is on S2ki.com

For the 2.5 stroker, that's a different story.
