when i was in europe bikes are alllllll over the place....there's still too many cars
on the roads here to have a bike, and people don't look out for bikes when
they're driving their cars, especially in our area.

i was checkin out scooters the other day. i found a couple that are highway legal and a few online stores had em for $1400 bucks with free shipping.. so much cheaper than vespa. they get about 70-80mpg
i think im too lazy to actually get one though.

i believe as long as the moped is 50cc it's street legal. theres a lot of 49cc ones out that you can ride without getting registered and licensed(i think thats the case, anyway)
those wont get you on the highway though

I'm going to start riding my huffy again....
On a serious note, just came back from Boston last night. Happy to report that we didn't hit any traffic when we left Boston at 2pm. Very unusual considering I was expecting some in Hartford, Danbury, on the Tapanzee and especially the Garden State Parkway.

Yea, definitely looking into picking up a cheap bike and learning to ride. Even though my car will get 35 mpg on the highway and 28 in the city.

If I lived in a city I'd already own one. Vespa's are great, I've looked at them even before gas got insane, even though you look like a geek on one.
I could get one for the beach, too, but there's something about rolling up to the board walk with a surfboard under my arm while riding a moped that doesn't sound too cool. I doubt I'll ever move into Philly or NYC, but if I do, I'm getting one.

If you get in shape, you can ride a bicycle as fast or faster than some scooters  No insurance, no gas, easy to park. But you realy need a good bike,(guys bicycles or bicycle therapy < shamless plugs), that is efficient and FAST. Ever see those guys riding/flying around the drives on tuesday nights ???
Speaking of....at the northeast airport last night (we race up there on tueday nights), i saw a black wrx with mods and there is always a mid 90's yellow cobra parked on the road, for sale i think. Anyone here work there??
Motorcycles and scooters are great transprotation. I can never get one again.

I am shopping for a motorcycle, but I have been shopping since last year. I just can't decide on which one, but I have it narrowed down to 3.

Id definitely rock a vespa with my board under my arm. And if anyone started hatin id just smack them with my board.....or possibly run them over on the vespa. Thats gotta be one of the ultimate insults, gettin run over by a vespa haha

I used to drive a Geo Metro. That thing got 40 mpg on a bad day. 40-45 mpg+8 gallon tank=happy guy and money still left in wallet. The guy who bought that from me must be laughing at everyone at the pump these days.
