You gotta go to every auction and evenutally you'll find what you want. Are they open to the public? I can't remember...

I bought a 98 Ford Explorer for $1500 at the Philadelphia Auto Auction it was just filthy and nasty, and the rear seats were all torn up, I think it was like a drug searched car or something.

You'd be better off going to the auction in Conshohocken. My friend got a 2000 Chevy S-10 for $2700. He bought it in '02, and it only had 25k miles on it. Reason he got it so cheap was because the week before, someone had bought the truck at the auction. When the runners were moving all the vehicles out of the stage area, they backed into the S-10 with a Ram pickup because the S-10 was so low, it couldn't be seen in the Ram's mirrors. There was damage to the front quarter panel on the passenger side, that was it. The guy ended up not buying it and my friend got it way under value the next week. Couple hundred bucks and it was in perfect condition.
It's called Carriage Trade auto auction. Ridge pike in Conshohocken. You can also check the vehicles for auction for the next week. here's the link.
