I am wondering the process at which Police officers check to see if you have insurance. I was pulled over for expired tags, and although I had insurance, i did not have my card on me. I just told the officer that I had it, and gave him the old card. He came back and verbally told me to get my car inspected ASAP, and to make sure to get the new insurance card in the vehicle because "if he felt like it" he could write me up for no insurance. Is Insurance something that is kept registered with DMV in Delaware or what?? Any and all help on this matter will be greatly appreciated!

so your car had bad inspection, no registration and no proof of valid insurance.. and you got off with no tickets....... wow....... any way its up to the officer who stops you if he wants to give u a ticket for insurance.. there is no way to run anything on a computer during a car stop to see if your insrance is good or bad...
