I've seen that vid before. Did you know Lingenfelter passed away about a year ago? I don't know who will carry on the work. Did he only make vetts?

That's nice, but for that kinda $, you could have a 1000HP twin turbo Viper built....:(

Dude, Mopar or No Car!

EDIT: Plus i am quote mad at GM for ripping off the Viper with their new chevette! I mean, put the 2 side by side, and tell me that the headlights are not the same, and the front end is not the same, and that the lines of the car are not the same!

I always thought the C5 vette was almost a carbon copy of my car haha

Exactly! I LOTHE GM....lol

They can't do anything origional with the Corvette. Just look up the "Chevette"!

Looks IDENTICAL to a Pacer to me!

Ligenfelter did more than vettes, he did pickups, Plymouth Prowlers with blown vette engines, and I think he even did a few Vipers towards the end.

Contrary to popular belief, this C5 is NOT a Lingenfelter Twin-Turbo C5. It is a Doug-Rippie car with Nitrous. I don't know the exact mods, but believe it's a heads/cam car. This was discussed on Corvetteforum and the owner of this C5 responded. Definitely not a Turbo though...a Twin-Turbo C5 would have taken the DSM by bus lengths.

^ Good to know. I would have never known other than there was no turbo noise but i didn't think you could hear it w/ all that v8 muscle. All I know is thats one FAST vette. Makes me really want to see what a real lingenfelter vette can do!

The viper, 3rd gen rx, an c5 were all designed by the same guy.
