Camber Tires

When I heard the name I laughed. Then I saw a VW with mad camber (yo) and my gf asked "what if they made tires already cambered that would wear normally even if the alignment had a lot of camber?"

So I looked it up and found the above link.

Thoughts?

I read through their tech and it seems as if the tire has a little extra rubber on one side?

from the little bit of reading i've done, I haven't seen any speed ratings on race tires.

granted I've only done a LITTLE bit of reading.

I remember reading years ago that the Hoosier autocross tires had camber built in.

This chick left my house once bow legged when I went balls deep. That's about as much camber as I've had in my life.

It's only for 3-4 degrees of camber, and they don't stretch. Sorry vdub.

Just took a glance, they're talking about it benefiting race applications, but that seems dead wrong to me. When the car is cornering and the weight transfers you would not be using the full contact patch, similar to if you were running 0 camber on a normal tire.

I dont know if F1 or other high end motorsports do anything with their tires, but if this worked they definitely would. I'm gonna call bs on this one...
