Im going to have the option to do the demon eyes look on my car when i blackout my housing and install HiD's. Just want to get opinion if you guys think it would look rice. If you dont know what the demons eyes look is i will add some pics to the bottom of this post. Going back to my question, I'm not limited to just red, i can do any color as long as there is a LED for it. I will have a separate switch to turn them on/off and they are only noticeable around sunset.

better check ewith the law in your area

in PA i do not think your allowed to have a blue or red ligths on the front since those are reserved for emergency services (cops, fire, ambulance)

I got a ticket in bensalem because i lost 1 of my front bumper sidemarkers, & swapped in a spare red one (from the rear) that i had, & the cop ticketed me..

I have no idea where you came up if this thought. As I stated there is a switch that controls the led, even then the hid lights would over power the line tiny led in it.

i have seen quite a few (even cops) with different color lights in thier dim/day time bulbs. or pre bulbs (what ever the F they are called) & cops/people with BMw's chnage thier halos to diff colors all the time

these lights the OP is referring to is not the acutal Headlight, its basically just adding a led into the projector to get enough light to illuminate the projector

Ornamental lighting is also not legal in PA.

guess im going to ask the local cops on this because i have no idea where is falls under, though i know you cant have ornamental lighting while driving. I dont see this as a problem since the light output is low and can't be seen in the day.

Just don't drive with them on. And make sure it's not blinking, bec. that will definitely will be impersonating cops/emergency vehicles. With an independent switch, It's only for show. I already did that on mine. And I only turn it on to take pictures.

On the daytime I have dual CCFL halos for my DRL.

And it still functions like a regular headlight with the low beams

Are headlights like these hard to wire up and make functional?

pretty cool looking... the red over the projectors is a little OD, IMO tho

i just got my MSP headlights custom retrofit w/ xB LED halos

^^^ Cool looking, I heard the XB halos are brighter than CCFL. I am a fan of retrofits and lighting, but only those that are tastefully done. Yea, I was gonna paint my whole shroud red but decided to do the thin red rings to make it subtle.

yeah from what i've heard they are super bright... the other benefit over CCFL is their life expectancy, non-heat factor, and can't be easily broken (makes retrofit process easier i guess). can't wait to get them installed!

^ that looks sick tho, subtle... not over the top... tastefully done.

Thanks, I'm really proud of my work since it's the only one of its kind in the world (in the eclipse 3rd gen community that is)! The Project took like 2 months for me, bec. I was doing it only on spare time. I wish the XB Halos were around during that time, I would've got them instead.

I broke 2 CCFLs during the project :(. So that also set me back waiting for the new ones. Maybe if my CCFLS fail at some point I'll swap them with XB LEDs.

how did you do the demon eye's? im reading this guide (http://www.mp3car.com/fabrication/137944-how-to-demon-eye-projector-lighting.html) and just wanted to know if you did anything different.

^^^ Yup except for the LED bulb that he wired w/o a lens, that's why his is a cleaner shine than mine. The guy that made that thread is awesome, his projects are insane

just to get this confusion out of my head, is their chrome behind the projector that focus the light to the projector? Iv never taken apart a projector so i got no idea. For a long time i thought you had to put the led pointing inside the projector, though in that link he has it outside (like this pic http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm302/soundman98/the%20light/IMG_2117.jpg)

There is a bowl inside the projector where the bulbs sit. I think it was chrome, I never bothered to look when I took mine apart.

As for the LED, I'm not sure coz I left that part out on my project.

Some info here: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18615

If you want to just have a switch that lights it up at night you can use a red (or whatever color) LED and only use it for pics or meets, w/e.

I'm not sure what I think of the Demon Eyes mods. I guess I'd have to see them in person.

I like them better on the Evo then the Eclipse, but the quality on the Eclipse looks real nice.

You need to try Blue led lights
