Traded my Speed3 in today on a......

New left-over 2012 CTS-V Coupe (black diamond, 6spd manual, fully loaded w/ recaro seats, nav, etc.)

Amazing car- gobs of power seemingly everywhere at every rpm range. Can't wait to do the intake, exhaust, t-stat, pulley, and tune. Should be good for 630 crank hp.

Just wanted to share my excitement (today is my birthday as well)- best b-day present ever!

Including the V we have 3 cars. The two others are business cars. So yes it'll be my "daily" but I don't drive much. I work from home- when I drive to shoots I use one of the business cars. I expect to put 5k max a year on it. But who knows- I put about a hundred on it this afternoon alone. :eek: Such a blast to drive.

Is this the fastest car you've ever owned? I remember one time on the highway I was in my family SUV and a new CTS-V sedan was next to me and when I was floored he was steadily pulling away and im sure he was 1/2 throttle lol.

The sedan's are such nasty sleepers, but I feel like all of the coupe's should have been factory's Vs; would have been neat.

Long story but I'm actually getting a different V. Brought it back to the dealer today as the recaros were a bit uncomfortable on my legs. Swapping for a 2012 Opulent Blue V coupe w/ black interior (non recaros).

Oddly the autos are usually faster- I just love shifting manually. Amazing how fast these cars are considering they are 1,000lbs heavier than a Vette. :eek:

Always wanted to drive one that was stick shift. Driven 3 new body V's that were auto and they're quick. Just would like to try a manual.

I'm sure it will be once modded. Right now it feels hair slower than my 09 Vette with Intake, Headers, Tune. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the same mods along with pulley will wake the car up!

Not missing anything- Cadillac shrouds the crap out of the engine bay. You can't see anything but the engine "cover" and stock strut brace.

Either have I, that's why when they found one, in manual, without sunroof (more headroom) I'm jumped on it. Even though the sales manager from that out of state dealership had put 365 miles on it already.

Yeah D3 is a Caddy-specific performance company. I'm currently researching what header, intake, pulley, and tune combo to go with.

I agree- the wagon has that sleeper appeal. If this was my daily the wagon would be my first pick. I like the slightly lighter weight (still a pig), lower roof, and wider track of the coupe.
