I'll be looking at a small suv for close friend of the family and was hoping to find some info on GM's 4.3 liter motor or possible problems with the 2000 Blazers.
Thanks in advance.

Take a peak in the under the collant cap, make sure it's clean. Don't touch the car if there is brown crud under it. Read up on 4.3 and Dexcool. you will find about dexcool and the intake mani gaskets. It happened twice to my wife's Grand am. Some GM cars don't have problems with it. But if it's clean, and they want it, I would flush the system and put in Prestone.

Thanks for the response.
I did a little research on the internet and it turns out these cars had a whole bunch of problems. Most common was an oil leak near the oil filter.

I had the LIM gasket failure in the 3400. 4.3's are a totally different engine from the 60 degree V6 but DEXCOOL is HELL on everything. 100,000 miles :bs:
