I'm not saying the FRZ/BRZ is the best car to be produced in the last 10-20 years... but I am saying that the entire project - joint collaboration of 2 major manufacturers to produce a pure sport coupe w/ RWD and a blend of technologies and engineering, w/ an affordable price tag - is the most innovative and exciting thing that I can remember happening in the domestic consumer auto industry. When Scion first broke ground, who ever would have thought they would be marketing a 200hp RWD sport coupe w/ a boxer engine?! Who would have thought Subaru would be making a RWD sports coupe?! Who would have expected Toyota and Subaru to work so closely together? The Hyundai Genesis and the redesign of the domestic Muscle Cars were similarly groundbreaking, but this is on a much bigger scale. The FT86 has been in development for YEARS, probably b4 the Genesis was even a concept. i'm just so happy that this project finally came to fruition. Really looking forward to see the potential of these cars once the turbo kits come out and they start hitting the track. They've already shown great potential on the pro circuits. In case you can't tell, yea, I'm a fan boy. :)
