I'm going to catch so much **** for making this post. Some of these people will be mad because they see nothing wrong with driving like they're on the set of the fast and the furious while on public roads around other people and some people will be mad because this thread should never have been made and this should go without saying...

Where do you guys stand on people driving in a "spirited" manner on public roads when other cars are around? Now from some of the meets I've been to, 95% of the people seem to be very friendly and understand when and when not to push the limits of the car. I just recently moved back to the montgomery area and I can't seem to go a day without some moron trying to weave in and out of traffic around me while narrowly avoiding several accidents along the way.

Just now, and this was the final thing to piss me off...a genius child in a DSM was tailing me while going 45-50 on 309 (speed limit is 45) and then he finally passed me. Great that's over....until he decides to cut me off while getting in front of me in my lane again. Just to be the second car at a red light....what the hell? why? Kid proceeded to bounce off the rev limiter to show that he really got me....made it that much better when someone with a V8 revved his engine to shut him up.

Who knows, I'm probably just an uptight old man. Either way, respect other drivers around you, there's no point in cutting people off or being a red light racer while risking the chance of killing innocent people around you. Maybe spend that $200 on your plasti-dipped craigslist wheels to go to a track day instead?

I vent about these kid drivers every day. The road is not a race track; it's not for fast cars to pretend like cars are cones...lights are not Christmas tree lights...it pisses me off daily when these kids ride people's asses or cut off cars to get a car's length closer to a light. Amit, don't be afraid to just get out of the car at the light, go to their car and just wave your hands saying "really??....ricer." Should shut them up some and for all you know save a life.

It's not just 'kids'. I see plenty of adults who drive the exact same way. We've got people around here who drive likes it's nascar in their damn mini vans with kids in the back.

That's true now that I think of it...nothing worse than a mom behind the wheel of a minivan with 4 kids in the back and a soccer game that they're running late too.

*facepalm

I almost got clipped by a damn Jetta on Sunday. I was getting on Rt 3 East, when a Jetta in the middle lane doing about 110+ swerves into my lane as I was trying to merge on Rt 3. I had to cut the car over into the shoulder to avoid death. I pretty much wish that driver falls down a flight of stairs and breaks both his legs.

Everyone is in such a rush. I have seen over aggressive drivers weave in and out of lanes in traffic, coming close to causing multiple accidents just to get a few cars ahead. For what? What the hell is the point? Mostly to be honest, it is VW, Audi, and BMW drivers, more so then Honda and other drivers.

The fact is, there is never a cop around when these assholes are on the road, but God forbid my brake light bulb goes out, or my license plate frame covers the top part of the letters "N" and "J", or something of that nature, I'm pulled over immediately.

Though as much as I hate asshole drivers, bikers are 10x worse especially in traffic. Not trying to disrespect any bikers on the forum, but I don't appreciate almost having my side views knocked off because Mr. impatient biker can't wait in traffic like everyone else.

Being a bike rider myself, I know what you mean..But there really ought to be a bike lane or something for us..passing is cool as long as it's in the shoulder and not anything above 15-20mph, imo.

It's not safe for bikes to be in traffic with cars; easy to get rear ended and once the light's green..the bike is already 3x faster than the traffic...so it's not like they hold up the traffic or anything.

My only real pet peeves with bike riders is a lot drive worse than these ricers we're talking about and a lot put hids into their stock housings and blind the crap out of me when driving my car. Gagh. :(
