Looking to get the PCM tuned on a 98+ vortec motor. It's an 01 5.3 out of a silverado.
My zip code is 17851,more local the better.

You could try PCMforLess.com, they specialize in GM's, I had them tune my Camaro and couldn't be happier. It's a mail order tune but they'll tune to your specs and they have great customer service.

My buddy is putting this motor in his fj80. He wants to be able to drive it there and have it tuned.

He sold the motor to a guy who was going to put it in a jeep, motor was locked up so the guy brought it back. Then he sold the land cruiser he was going to put it into.

i think he ended scraping the motor, i could be wrong tho.
My other buddy picked the motor up originally to swap into an s10 blazer or one of his 12 v6 camaros but he sold it to another friend of mine who was putting it in a landf cruiser....then to the jeep guy who brought it back when he found out it was seized. Before anyone asks, the original friend bought the motor for 75 bucks from a junkyard.
I would love to stuff a 5.3 into a short bed ranger or dakota and **** **** up with it....if i do ill be contacting the sloppy mechanics.

go with a mega/microsquirt. Then you can change the tune as often as you'd like.
