My brother and I are looking for an e36 M3 to do something fun with, and we found a really riced out one on CL, but the price is pretty good so we are going to look at it this weekend. We have all the replacement body panels laying around so de-ricing this thing shouldn't be an issue. However it does have lambo doors, and I don't know much about these. I was reading online, and people are saying all different stuff. The owner already confirmed it was a bolt on kit, but people are saying that its directly plug and play, and others are saying you have to remove the fenders, and theres a chance that everything behind them is cut out? Anyone have any knowledge or experience with this?

Bolt on kit means just bolt and unbolt.
If your even remotely concerned, don't buy an already riced out project.

it is possible that the fender near the door jam is cut out to clearance for the hinge. Also, the door harness was probably extended to allow for the extra opening room. I've seen some bolt on kits that had a weld or 2 on them just to prevent hinge to body movement.

Yep that's the one.
And its not as if I am losing sleep over it... I was just curious if anyone has any useful insight on the subject.

It should be a straight shot. take off doors and hinges and replace with factory.
