i know no1 on TST bites their tongue and gives their true opinion, so I'm asking for just that to decide on the color of my new wheels. obviously the final decision will be mine, but want to hear what some other peoples thoughts or ideas are.
I'm looking to go with a lighter color and avoid the Black, gunmetal, dark blue, dark grey colors. also want to avoid silver/my stock alloy look, because i have a 2nd set of wheels that are already that color.
my 3 main choices are:
1st. White
2nd Gold
3rd Yellow (already have the yellow laminx on the headlights/foglights and if yellow, it would make it a whole "swedish theme" when these wheels are mounted.
these colors arnt 100% accurate, just to give an idea of the possible look.
White

Gun Metal

and these were just done to see what it could look like, pretty much would not rock any of these.

these are stock saab wheels (not sure if your confusing them for aftermarket), but i've also never seen them in gold either. all my friends that i've mentioned gold to, say no, because they think gold is too "Subaru wrx/sti"

not too often, I've been up that way a few times, but not anytime recently.

I have white wheels and theyre a bitch to keep clean, you honeslty have to clean them almost everyday for them to look like a nice solid white, so Id go gold or bronze, thats what im going to do, but I guess that is kinda a wrxish opinion haha

If you had Volk's, WED's, Advans, etc. and a knock around race car I would say do a wild color. But because you have a nice classy car that's sporty and clean I would go with the Gun Metal in a semi gloss keeping it simple (less is more).
Plus, why "highlight" the fact that the rims are stock. Let them blend in to let the eye focus on the clean lines of the car itself.

I'm looking to go with a lighter color and avoid the Black, gunmetal, dark blue, dark grey colors.
i've had black wheels for the past year and kinda over it. if i really want black i could go the super cheap route and plasti dip them, then peel it off and have the color I'm about to choose.

yea, i hear that. the amount of brake dust mind produce is a b*tch, being that these will be my "summer" wheels, i won't really mind cleaning them up ever couple days.
and for you with gold or bronze, at least you have an actual wrx:lol:

yea i hear that, the last 4-5 pics were just to show what it could possibly look like, so people wernt saying "what about bright green, red, pink?". the brightest i would go would be yellow and I'm only about 25% on it.

White is the only one I like.... and get rid of those ricey yellow light covers.
Got Insulin?

White all day.
And for you white wheel newbs, clean them and then hit them with a decent wax product. This way you can just just rinse them off every couple of days to keep them fresh and then really detail them every few times that you wash them.

i think it's the route ill go and i'll keep the wax in mind for when they get painted  i've tried the armor all wheel protectant on my stock wheels, but it wasn't very good.

hmm when i had my wheels black, i was told there was another blue saab rolling around with black wheels (confirmed it was a different car) now to hear there might be another blue one with yellow headlights:eek: haha it was more than likely me, since all the saabs i come across are older ladies that don't even know what they're driving. i just don't recall being over that way last week, what were you driving when you saw it/me?

May have been a week or two before that haha I'm not sure when exactly I just remember seeing it. It was Either around 10 or 11 a.m. driving across 202.

my buddy just text me this morning saying he saw my exact car with the yellow headlight film on his way to work, i was still at my house, so this means there is another blue saab with yellow headlight film driving around out there. i figured i was the only one to actually like the look but apparently this other guy does too. I'm gonna have to track him down.
polished > gloss black > white
personally not a fan of polished, especially for this car. i had black for the past year and a half, so I'm over it. and dropped them off to be painted mirror white earlier today.
so.... I went with mirror white
should have them back within the next 2 weeks, thanks for the opinions, even though this thread was around for less then 24 hours.
