View Full Version : Best Factory 4x100 Wheels

I have steels on my one car and I'd like to get new wheels but I'm not interested in spending gobs of money on wheels. As far as it concerns me, tires are more of a priority than the wheel itself. So this strikes me as a cost effective way to upgrade the looks of my car, without breaking the bank

Goal is for whatever I land on to be my "summers" and run the steelies as winter wheels since the tires are still at 5/32 all around and for my driving style, don't suit me for summer use.

I am huge on quality so I'd rather spend my money a straight set of factory wheels, rather than spend 5-700 on cheapo sportmaxxs, etc. I've had set before, they have AWFUL offsets in the sizes I can/would use, so OEM is the way to go, until one day i can justify real money on real wheels.

So here's what I'm looking for: 15-16" 4x100 Alloys from ANY automaker, so long as they were a FACTORY option.

Any suggestions?

GSR blades are 15s right?

Yes blades are 15. I too am trying to figure out a nice set of oem wheels to put on my car. 4x100 has a lame selection for nice factory wheels:(

blades are a decent oem wheel. i've always like the Si wheels as well. just make sure whatever oem wheel you get, the center bore is larger then whatever hub your trying to put it on.

What size is average honda CB for wheels?

i'm a 57.1mm hub. and luckily i can get hubcentric rings inexpensively through work. I think we've got quite a few that adapt down to my 57.1mm

glad you said something. I was forgetting that piece of info, focusing on ET and size.

Yes plez. Didnt realize honda had anything four lug anymore.... not sure why i would assume otherwise though.... hmmm

i like them, 16x6.5 im guessing?

56.1mm hubs on a hybrid. dont really want to have the centerbore machined.

my personal favorite in 4x100 would be the 99-00 civic si wheels.

How cheap do you expect to get a set of good condition nice looking factory wheels for? Most of the more desirable used factory 4x100 Honda wheels cost as much as good aftermarket wheels.

You can get factory mini cooper wheels (that's what I was going to buy for my saturn wagon). I think you should be able to get them in 16 (i like the 17s personally), but I'm not sure on the offset or width of course that would be easy enough to find out. I've found them on craigslist/ebay for pretty cheap now and again.

I found polished gsr swirlies reps for 125 a wheel, si wheels for 140. Btw, link:

Edit:
These are nice too.

Said about not wanting to have to bore the hub... Mini Coopers are 56.1 unless you find a for sale add on vortex that the seller actually bored them out already. There are a couple sets for sale on vortex already bored out I think.

Can't use integra /civic / delsol wheels w/o machining the center bore out a couple mm. its tiny from the adaptitusa.com website. good info.

mini wheels are an option for sure - i've seen them and they look good <-- certain they are 56.1? I've seen them on cars and have been told (key word) no modifications were needed.

Sounds like a headache when you can just buy some cheap aftermarket wheels that actually fit.

I'm almost positive that they're 56.1. MINI put out a ton of dope wheels in mostly 16" and a few 15" varieties including a Euro-only BBS wheel for the Challenge cars.

just take a ****ing dremel to them for 2 minutes. You don't the wheels to be perfectly hub-centric. I have been running without hub centric spacers in years, the lugs do the centering for you.

Matt, if you want to drive to NE Philly, you're more than welcome to test fit the wheels off of my MINI.

I think it all dependes what kind of car they are going on. I dig the old style BBS's

Many of the cheaper Honda and Acura wheels on that site are replica wheels and not OEM wheels.

disagree 100%. i would never suggest taking a dremel to the inside of a wheel, plus you want your wheels to be hubcentric. can they be lugcentric? of course but your putting all the weight now on the lugs and greatly increase your chances of shearing off lugs.

^^ I've got lug bolts :D

But no, i refuse to have a non-centered hub. did it once on a set of borbets, for 2 days. pissed me off because there was a subtle shake on road force balanced wheels/new tires. Needless to say, $15, and 4 plastic rings later... all good.

so i can smack an unseen pothole and crack one? or bend one? f!ck no. I want something of QUALITY. not a taiwanese version of quality.

Yea, you are right they are. I just dont understand why they fit then. 1000000% sure my hubs are 57.1mm. Secondly, once i've got my rear brakes and front bushings done, i'd definitely like to take you up on that, i really like the 16s, and the 17s... but i cant go that big.

I think it all dependes what kind of car they are going on. I dig the old style BBS's

Its my 1998 Jetta. here is a picture. I tried to avoid VW refs to keep people from saying just buy VW wheels bc i obviously think they're better (which if that were the case i'd be done by now...but selection sucks, all 5x100/5x112)

(and yes, its on coilovers in the picture. I like my rectum intact, as well as my oil pan)

OH! what size are your lug bolts?? I would likely get a set of smaller hubcentric spacers depending on the offset of the wheels i land on, and i'm nearly certain i've read that BMWs share the bolt sizing from my mk3 2.0, and are about 7mm longer....

And i do like the basketweaves, a lot of people run the bottlecaps, but at that rate i may as well have my hubcaps.

also looking at corrado G60 BBS RZ's. 15x6.5

I wanted to be sure to point that out since the OP wanted factory wheels for some strange reason.
