Recently I was doing a bit of car shopping and found what I thought was a decent deal on an '05 Evo. I went and test drove it, had an okay impression given that I'd never driven an Evo before, and posted on Facebook looking for some advice from some of my Evo buds. Chris (owner of GV and the radical dude that he is) posted and not only answered a bunch of my questions, but also invited me to have the dealer bring the car by GVA and he'd gladly scope it out for me.

Lo and behold, the car appears to have been returned to stock from a decently modified state (including a JDM rear bumper, ACT clutch, etc) as many of them are, and still needed the timing belt done (85k on the car), brakes, and probably a clutch in the near future. Chris not only gave me a prompt phone call with a run-down of what the car would need, but gave me an estimate for the work and his own appraisal of the car's value given it's condition, which goes a long, long way for someone like me, who has only a passing familiarity with this particular car.

In the relatively small world of local "tuner" shops, it's refreshing and probably a bit rare to have such a great experience with a shop without even having stepped foot onto their premises. I think that speaks volumes for the quality and values of people that Chris, and consequently all the guys at Good Vibes, employ in their daily business. They kept me from over-paying for a car that needed some not-so-obvious work, and probably saved me a bundle by not just pulling the trigger in the first place only to find out I had a bit of a basket case.

I've never hesitated to throw GV's name out there when people are looking, but things like this only reinforce why I've never hesitated to do so. Thanks again, bud!

Chris is always and has always been a stand up dude. I never hesitate to send customers his way for any of the services he provides.

I have to agree with you Taylor!

I had a similar situation, where I was looking at a car that I was a bit unfamiliar with. Chris checked the car over top to bottom, gave me the thumbs up and I wound up purchasing my new chariot.
