Motor swapping miata

I have a 97 miata with the stock BP-ZE motor. I want to swap it, but im not quite sure on what motor to swap it with. I was think about a 13b Twin Turbo out of the 92-95 rx-7, but im stuck between that and the 13b RE Cosmo Eunos. Does anyone have any input? i could use any help i can get.

and the kits for that are expensive... you'd be better off turboing it if you want more power. even 250 whp will move a miata pretty good.

Well I'd like to swap it with a v8, but I dont have that kind of money.
I rather pay a little more for a whole motor than boosting it for a little less. A 13b motor is like $1500, I wouldn't mind spending an extra 1500 or so on goodies.

V8 or nothing. The BP-ZE engines are stout little engines, don't see why you want to create a project out of swapping it when you can just boost it and have a blast that way.

You can find a Ford 302 for less then 1500 on craig's list.

Don't come bitching here when your JDM Engine Depot engine craps out on you. I have heard nothing but horror stories about those guys and their products.

JDM engine depot is good enough... same with JDM engine zone... but i wouldn't trust a used 13b that hasn't been ran in who knows how long. your just asking for thousands of dollars in a motor rebuild on top of everything to get it in a miata. it's not a common swap at all.

for what you would spend to have a 13b running reliably in a miata... you could have a beast turbo or all motor setup on the BP.
