Lets say the only requirements were that ...

1- it was your DD (ie a/c. heat, and not being low or stiff as **** mattered, as does getting thru the snow with it)
2- you wanted it to be fun to drive
3- You have the keep the stock motor (you can modify it with bolt-ons, pistons/rods, etc) but stock block and head.

What mods would you do?

Mainly suspension, brakes, and power? (feel free to add other stuff tho)

I would do a LS vtec swap. just some slight lowering springs, wheels and exhaust and be done with it.

Budget ls Turbo build, good coilovers, stock alloys with decent tires, good brake pads/fluid. Keep pretty stock looking so it won't get stolen.

I would need a swap. N/A K series with bolt ons/cams, full weight. Should be good for a high 12 full weight.

But since you wanted to keep the stock motor:

Ebay turbo kit and replace the **** that breaks
Stock motor
Eibach/konis
light weight 15-16 inch wheel

My goal would be a car with 250-260whp, handles well, looks good, fun to drive. 250whp is a good amount of power in that car

yea i would have said to keep it stock but then thinking about it... they still get stolen. a nice set of coilovers, what ever suspension arms needed to align and get it right, ls motor or maybe a b16 just to keep it very daily

3 MOTEC exhaust's and 3 MOTEC ecu's. Call it a day.

But srsly...

Some somewhat soft (6k to 8k) spring rate coilovers so you can raise it in winter months, some decent 15 or 16 by 7 to 7.5 inch rims, an intake, header and quiet exhaust, and if you had the time/money, upgrade to a stage 1 street clutch. Also, dont forget to do strut bars, sway bars, better brakes, and all of that stuff. Keep the interior comfy and quiet, get a nice audio setup, and perhaps even aftermarket seats if you have to money, so its a comfy ride for daily commuting. Stock ek seats are awful.

EDIT: Get a good f***ing alarm system too.

Ironically - I'd probably garage the civic and leave the Corvette parked outside cuz no one wants to steal Corvette parts in Allentown LOL

Well, mine is a 4 door but I already made it exactly how I want it, and it fits all of your requirements.

civic > integra

civic > integra

Opinion. I own both, and I bought the civic built but I highly prefer the integra as the car to put power through and mod and the civic to do what it was made for.

definitely opinion, both are great platforms but i would love to have another civic... integra not so much.

as for what i would do with your EK...

ek4 SiR bumpers, paint the car milano red or champ white, vitara pistons / bisimoto cam and a 60 trim t3 .48 a/r turbo. boom, 350+ whp reliably... swap to Si or type R brakes and hubs, get some nice coilovers, lcas, sway bars, and finally some pretty wheels and sticky tires and you have a good looking car that will run 11's all day and still be fine to drive around town.

you'd only be looking at $5-6k to have that set up... less if you shop around and do the work yourself

For cheap, realiable, and fun.. I'd do an eagle/vitara bottom end in my D16 Del Sol, minor head work, boosted 15-20lbs depending ow wreckless I was feeling. And tune it with hondata. Some simple coilovers on stock wheels and black front mount, keep it sleeper status and mop mustangs all day =]
