Recently we had the opportunity to perform a Cobb AccessPORT proTUNE on customers virgin 2011 Subaru STI. Chris has been a great customer for years with other cars and just finally got himself into a brand new Subaru STI.

Chris picked the car up from the dealer with an optional SPT catback exhaust and within 3 weeks of ownership had it up on our AWD dyno.

Within about an hour Andy Brahy had the STI tuned in and ready to be handed back over to our customer.

In this comparison dyno chart you can see the stock numbers that this STI put down compared to the Cobb OTS Stage 1 map, and then compared to the map we made for him. You can see that Cobb put together a great map but we were able to further tweak it for this particular car and get some nice improvements.

Run #3 is the stock plot.
Run #2 is the Cobb OTS Stage1 plot.
Run #1 is the Protune map completed here at R/T Tuning.

Chris was thrilled with the gains that could be made on a car that he already felt was pretty quick. Just goes to show you that even though Subaru put together a great car for 2011 there is always room to make it better without sacrificing reliability or your factory warranty.

(BTW, AWIC setup is FLAWLESS !!! Just needs to be wired up to an ignition source & it's 100% finished. :))

How much would it cost to get that kind of power on a brand new STI, parts included?

Also, what is that bleep on the stock run #3 @ about 3500RPM?

We have tuned a quite a few 08+ sti's and with an intake and a TBE we are making around 340hp and 380tq consistantly. So depend on the parts and if ya do it your self your around 2000-3000 tuned out the door. That dip at 3500 is the factory OL/CL delay and from factory the typically run lean there and knock where they pull alot of timing...Some look worse then others...
