B&M Shifter Install

Has anyone run into any problems installing a B&M short shifter into a 02-03 WRX. is there any cutting involved or does is just bolt into place

Ive never seen anyone install a b&m on a subaru. Id sell it if I were you and get a kartboy with bushings.

haha i already sent the B&M back, and ordered the Kartboy, but thats for the response

do i have to do any cutting to install the kartboy short shifter or is it direct fit?

it should pop right in with a light tap from a plastic hammer. some people get a little rubbing in the top left corner in first. if you do , you can turn the plate around or just grind it out a little.

you have to flip the metal piece thats around the shifter. if you dont you will rub the shaft of the stick when goin into thrid. O and have run with that snap ring right above the driveshaft.
