I've got a d16z6 crankshaft with mains, snout, thrust bearing surface, etc machined down to go in my Geo Tracker g16 engine. The machine shop I've had do the work so far (UCF Machine Shop in Carlisle PA) is afraid/unable to to drill/mill/whatever the new 6 holes for the flywheel.

The Tracker flywheel bolt pattern is smaller then the Honda pattern. They used factory Honda flywheel bolts to plug the holes, then did some form of welding to secure them (I've yet to see it).

They said they don't have anything to cut through this hard of metal, let alone different hardnesses at the same time, and that they've been 'calling around' to try to get suggestions. They've had the block and cranks since early December with $600 and in Feb I dropped off rods, bearings, etc with another $200.

SO much time has been wasted and I'm missing out on a sponsorship for a Plug and Play Megasquirt kit and club events/offroading in general.

Any help is appreciated. Currently they have an 'option' from a vendor that has high quality bits but with them "splitting" the cost with me, it's still ~$280 out of my pocket to get 6 holes made/tapped. At this point, I could have got a 100% custom crankshaft new if I have to drop that much more on this cranks machine work.

Quick sketch of what I need: NOT TO SCALE, bolt spacing is much closer and 'clocking' the pattern still hits the 'old/plugged' holes
