seen this last year, good stuff though

Ghostrider can keep himself on the other side of the pond

I often wonder how long his antics would last if he crossed the pond.

That stunt wouldn't be pulled off as easy in the area I work, as soon as someone calls out a vehicle failing to stop 60 cops in the immediate area hear it. Within minutes the area is so saturated with police cars its hard to find a clean route of escape. He had the advantage of few cops, a high powered car and a lot of room to run. In my area we have no major highways for high speed and while he has a powerful car trying to open it up in an area of two lane roads with a large amount of traffic means he cant utilize his cars power advantage over our patrol cars. Ive been severely outmatched before against the vehicle I was chasing but there was never enough of a serious open stretch for them to get far enough ahead for me to lose sight of them, and ive always been able to get a tag when they get hung up in traffic and unless the car is stolen well be waiting for you to get back to your house should you manage to sneak away. In any event if the state police get notified of the chase lord help you, the only way they will stop chasing you is if their car becomes so disabled it can no longer run, ive seen a trooper blow a tire and keep in the pursuit for another 10 miles running on the rim. You will end up spiked, pitted and tased..... state boys don't play. His getaway was relatively easy, he used the highways to get from point to point fast enough that the police couldn't converge in one area, around here after 5 minutes a police car will be on just about every road you want to turn down.

You may be able to outrun ground units, but you can't outrun the radio and our helicopter :)

something tells me if he was planning on having that much involvement with the police he might have left the license plates in the garage

Yeah.....

I wish he would have wrecked.

The only thing COOL about the video is the car.

The owner AND his actions are completely irresponsible.

It seems like he intentionally went out when there would be little to no commuter car traffic..... but still...... total douchbag.

It would have been funny if the early morning truck drivers got in touch on their radios, waited for him to get too close to brake... & jumped in front of him at the last minute.

In a other video with the subaru he does evade the cops when they have a helicopter. Guys this guy plains out all his routes, he has people at certain points calling him in incase any cops show up. Also Bane is he was on his bike i doubt you could catch him. This guy is just crazy.

We are not talking about him running on a bike, I was using the scenario of him running in a car. Its not that a motorcycle has that much of a better shot at getting away its that a motorcycle has that much better chance of crashing. Ive gone to training for pursuit intervention and use of force and there have been studies about motor vehicle pursuits vs motorcycle pursuits. A pursuit with a motorcycle has a 1000% greater chance of ending in injury over a pursuit with an automobile. Most departments have policies strictly outlining pursuits with motorcycles because of the high risk of the rider getting seriously injured. Being on a bike doesn't increase your chances of evading police, it increases you chances for you to die while trying.

Sport bikes are just too fast for any police interceptor to catch IMO, the power to weight ratio is too good for any car to keep up with or catch unless you have a highly modded lightweight vehicle. I don't agree with anyone running from the police in a car or on a bike, I believe it is irresponsible, and just stupid because you are putting your life and the life of the officers in danger. But at the same time, any officer that chases after someone running on a sport bike or any motorcycle is not using his head, if the person on the motorcycle wrecks and dies while you are chasing them, you will have that burden on your shoulders for the rest of your life.

Or maybe the officer is just doing his job, and its the parents who will have the burden on their shoulders for the rest of their life because they raised a troublesome child? Who runs from the police? And who talks about someone running from the police, but say the police chasing them aren't using their head? I think you have it backwards.

If you run from the cops on a bike and crash/die, that's your fault. Nothing for the cop to feel bad about.

Not impressed, let me know when he pulls that in the US. Not against the polizei in tonk trucks.

Maybe I do have it backwards in your opinion dude, but If I were a police officer and I chased after someone on a motorcycle, whether they are breaking the law or not, if they crashed and died I would still feel like **** about it. If I backed off and let him go, eventually he'd slow down and possibly be fine, but me continuing to chase them will just keep the speeds up and the chances of him wrecking and dieing higher.

You can't sit there and tell me you wouldn't feel even the slightest bit of remorse for chasing someone on a motorcycle and seeing them wreck and die in front of you...knowing that if you stopped chasing them there chance of survival would have been increased. Whether or not they broke the law is out of the question in my opinion, pro-longing an initial police chase with a motorcycle is just too dangerous.

What would the point of having police be if they didn't stop people who are breaking the law? Lets stop chasing shop lifters in case they run in front of a moving car. That would clearly be the person on pursuits fault.

And I eat babies everyday, so you wouldn't get any guilt from me.

In my opinion, if you're willing to take the risk of losing your life to avoid being arrested....that's on you. The cop shouldn't feel bad about doing his job. Yes, he could stop chasing the bike...but on the flip side the biker could stop fleeing. I would be more concerned with the cop having to put civilians in danger to keep up with the bike...not the biker himself.

That would be like a guy starting a shoot out.....and the cops not returning fire on the off chance he may stop on his own.

Yeah,
I'd hate to be an officer involved in a situation like that.
A widespread policy to let idiots doing mid-triple-digit speeds on crotch rockets go.... because they might get hurt...... That's just stupid.

I'd have to say, I'd feel bad if anyone died due to me, (unless they put my faimily in harms way). I will say though that with a moron with a the brain capacity and ignorance to get their bike into the triple digits while other fmilies are in danger is F-ed up enough to the point where they deserve to wreck and face what ever happens to them being death or paralyzed. This just reminds me way to much of the group of morons that I encountered yesterday on rt 42 merging onto 55 south. There werre about 10 bikes all going in excess of 100 mph weaving in and out of traffic. I honestly envisioned in my head a tractor trailer blowing a tire and causing them to all crash while I drove right on by giving the finger to the mangled carcasses that were left. I friggen hate bikers that think they are above the law.

i take it you never seen gone in 60 seconds :-p all you have to do is press the red button on the shifter. it equals automatic win against cops....or you can just find a roll back and use it as a ramp

on a side note.....i believe i read in the paper a few years ago there was a crotch rocket running from cops on I 81 by hazleton and a gas station camera actually got his license plate number. :supz:
