no seriously.... I really plan on going to the event on the 29th at Etown. Who's coming?

And who can I call to verify they wont give me a hard time about my truck? I tried emailing clubloose last time i wanted to make an event and no one ever got back to me...

Going later today today to grab an extinguisher and try to figure how how to "shield" my brake cylinder....

What kind of truck do you have? They've let modified trucks drift before, usually they're on the smaller side of things.

Also, shielding your BMC is easy, go get piece of sheet metal ~16GA or so, and bend it into a shield. (Or use an old license plate, road sign, baking pan, etc.)

yea i wouldn't mind doing that myself but its just too far of a drive for me to not participate and the entrance fee is a little steep...

its a full size silverado crew cab. So the shield doesn't have to be like really solidly in place? its just a little tight in there with the size of my cylinder (yea im bragging ;)..) and all the lines and stuff. Also i'm worried about the exhaust, it exits under the truck but well past the passenger compartment under the bed.. its sleeper status...

Thanks for the info dude, its a big help

I would love to see this happen, but unfortunately its going to be pretty hard in your truck. Its really hard to initiate with a foot ebrake, and usually automatic trannies dont like that too much anyway. Second issue is your diff, that thing is going to take a beating. Trust me, I have owned 3 gm fullsizes with locking rear.

Stick to night moves to see if you can do it.

Diff was blown up long ago, its a got a trutrac in it now and i would pay to see someone who could brake this thing. The transmission is also fully built ( - billet input and output, but i'm not making that kinda power just yet)

as for initiation I have the power to make it happen from a 30-40 roll and beyond that i'm working on some braking adjustment to help get the rears locked... I don't think it will be a very large problem but ill never know for sure till i can get out there and try.

So, i remembered that there is a factory heat shield over my exhaust manifold. is that an acceptable replacement to the brake cylinder shield?

having a hard time getting answeres on club loose forum today...

Definitly. My gf has a high end point and shoot the also does really nice HD vids. Were getting as much footage as possible.

Working on writing a new tune today, need to make as much boost as possible as soon as possible and I think I can do a little better then the tune I have now. Also need to setup the TCM for no lockup and higher revs

well, got the drift tire mounted. starting off with a set of 305/70/16's and bringing 2 sets of 275/70's in case they burn through.

there should be room if i bring a tailor right?

Hahaha drifting doesn't work too well with an open diff... I'll probably just bring the Miata down and shoot, I haven't spent enough time behind the camera lately anyway.

I probably can't get there until 6 ish, don't get kicked out before I get there haha.

Event cancelled. I'm really pissed/disapponted.

Going to Atco tomorrow night to try and drown some of my sorrow out with raw fuel and massive amounts of boost
