looking for recommendation for a mild system..i have a Kenwood excelon head unit but i want to put in better speakers, an amp and a sub and possibly tweeters. id definitely prefer clarity over volume of sound, but i love bass and the majority of music i listen to is r&b or house and dubstep. price isn't so much an issue if its absolutely worth it, but id like to keep it cheap if possible. it doesn't need to look nice either, definitely not a show car.

im a complete noob at audio though so if someone could help me out that'd be great.

Mobile spec is nice for the price/specs.

My SRT had FULL kicker components/ (tweeters, mid's, crossovers) with 6x9's in the rear and it sounded awesome. Was always clear, and hit nice and tight

Ive had good luck with infinity and rockford fosgate equipment, and you can find some insane deals online on sites like pricegrabber.

I definitely recommend a remote sub level controller though...comes in handy constantly if you listen to more then one type of music

If you're not trying to be crazy loud and show off to the entire neighborhood about how super awesome your system is this little bastard actually works great. and is really loud for the size/price. and it comes with everything you need besides power/ground/remote wires

What car are you doing this to? If you listen to mostly R&B and rap, I'd go with either a ported or bandpass box, they'll give you the most bump. The head unit you have should be a good unit, even the base model kenwoods are pretty good. Adding amplifiers to your system will up the sound, in almost every case, unless your going for true sound quality, but most people don't have the funds for that.
A set of components up front, mids and tweeters, with a sub in the trunk will give you all the sound that you'll want. You can run all of that either off of 1 amplifier or 2, depends on your wallet size and the car your putting it in.
