just think hw many rounds you don't see. The tracer round is like every fourth or fifth round.

I think the tracer is every tenth. I know you can shoot those somewhere. The cost of ammunition is phenomenal. $100 lasts you about 30 seconds.

Too bad that bird wasnt an Apache.

The baddest gatling gun in the Military has to be my wing's A-10 Warthog's nose gun. 30mm depleted uranium rounds shooting up to 50 rounds per second. Nothing like seeing Iraq tanks being turned into scrap metal in a whole second. :supz:

I saw that on military.org a while ago.
The shots of them shooting into a FC convertible is from Monster Garage though.

I work/live about 4-5 miles from the warren grove bombing range. I watch the A-10's and the f-16's fly there training flights.. It's pretty sweet.. You can hear when the A-10's fire those guns its pretty loud. Always wondered how many rounds they where actually firing.

If you guys heard about the f-16 that shot the school with 25 rounds of ammunition about 4-5 months ago. My house is about 200 yards from that school.... I was sleeping it could have been pretty bad.

Yeah, supposedly the jet fired those rounds from quite a distance away and they happened to hit a school. Crazy.

He was at an altitude of 7500 feet. and about 3 miles away... i think. To use your guidance and to actually fire the guns use the same button. You need to toggle between the setting with another button. He thought he was in guidance mode when he was actually in fire your god damn gun mode.. Big wooops.

I still like the A-10's. Guess it's the GI Joe influence.

A-10 is by far my favorite aircraft. Anti tank missions must rawk. Especially when your engines sound like huge turbos. A-10's fing scream!

Our A-10's are very quiet compared to most fighters. An F-16 taking off with afterburners will shake the ground, on the other hand an A-10 sounds like a Toyota Echo compared to the F-16 and others.

the a-10's are way quieter than the f-16's. You almost don't even hear the a-10's sometimes.
